We received a warm welcome by the site manager, and fresh tropical flowers on the dining room table was a nice touch!
It is up a ways from the main road, and offers beautiful views of Rodney bay. We rented a 2 Bedroom, there are 4 separate units in the one building. The condo itself is very comfortable, and is outfitted well for a long stay. The kitchen has pretty much everything you would need and there is a gas BBQ onsite for all to share. The kitchen stove was dated and not all the burners worked, and some more pots & pans, utensils would have been handy. The air-conditioning is in the bedrooms only, but they worked great. Each bedroom had it's own balcony to enjoy privacy and the views. The building is on Monchy road, and was difficult to find as there are no house numbers! We rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle, and it is needed to drive up to the place and really around the island is a good idea as the roads are steep, winding and can be rough depending on where you go. The master bedroom had a comfortable bed, the 2nd bedroom had 2 beds, one bed was comfortable, the other was NOT! - the mattress on it was not satisfactory at all.
It was nice having a bathroom on the main floor with toilet/sink. The water pressure was okay, what we expected for an island, but the hot water was hit or miss. When we were the only tenants it was in abundance, as more units filled, not so much!
The wireless speed was very good, but the wireless did cut out quite often at times. The satellite TV reception and choice of channels was great, including HBO and many quality channels.
Once a week cleaning is included; linens are washed for you (beds changed, etc.). Good quality beach/pool towels were provided, a nice touch.
The pool was well maintained as were the grounds. The site manager, Angela was lovely and around often taking care of the place. A few issues we did have with the unit were taken care of quickly.
The location is in a residential area, and there was a lot of noise; dogs barking constantly, roosters crowing and lawn maintenance noises. You can hear other tenants in the units, so not very quiet or private if all units are occupied.
Nearby "Massey" grocery stores were handy. Be sure to try "Ginette's" place, walking distance downhill from condo (you will pass by it on Monchy Road on your way to the condo). Fri/Sat evening BBQ is amazing!
Would recommend for long term stays on the island.
