Aristocratic roots

Villa Prenzano is no ordinary villa rental. Its history dates back to the 11th century and over the generations has been the manor home to many an Italian noble.

Heavenly country garden

The best days are those spent relaxing in our pastoral country garden. Just the buzz of a bee, a splash of the pool, and a chink of glasses.

The space

Villa Prenzano is an ideal villa for intimate celebratory groups and families. With six bedrooms and sleeping 12 guests we have hosted birthday, anniversary and wedding celebrations.

In summer we offer a minimum stay of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday.

Our guests love the spacious accommodation between the main house and granary, the gorgeous original features combined with modern comforts including a brand new gym, and the country garden, which affords far reaching views to the rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards of Chianti.

The villa

Villa Prenzano is an 11th century Tuscan stone manor house with a separate granary that sleeps 12 guests. Set in three hectares of landscaped and wooded grounds, in a blissful setting of rolling hills and vineyards, and close to the beautiful town of Greve.

Landscaped gardens, patios and terraces encompass the manor house, and there is a gorgeous wooded area for when the heat of the midday Tuscan sun becomes too much. A large private pool and sun terrace can be found in a tranquil setting with stunning views; just the breeze whispering through the Cypress trees as a distraction.

There are five bedrooms in the manor house. Four double bedrooms occupy the first floor all with ensuite bathroom. One of these room has two separate twin beds and a mezzanine level with the bathroom that can be reached with a few stairs steps. All the other rooms have large double beds. There is a further double bedroom with ensuite located on the ground floor – ideal for those who have difficulty stair climbing.

The generous living area is perfect for large groups. It features various seating areas furnished with ultra comfortable sofas, and a round dining table to seat ten inside plus a further teak dining table to seat 14 on the patio. The dining room has a large squared table to comfortably sit 12 people. In the garden around the house there are two areas with large wood tables for alfresco meals.

The granary

Our delightful granary is a guest house with a difference. Set apart from the manor house, the granary is perfect for the wedding couple, or grandparents who want a place to retreat for some quiet time.

Located next to the pool, the ivy covered stone accommodation features a wonderful double-height beamed living area with comfortable furnishings, plus a kitchen and a comfortable bathroom. On the mezzanine level there is a double bedroom.

Gorgeous antique doors lead out to a lovely shaded patio area, where you can enjoy a morning coffee, before heading over to the manor house to plan the day with friends and family.

Other things to note

Sheets are changed weekly while towels are changed midweek. A more frequent change of bed linens and towels requires an extra charge.

Tourist tax is collected at checkin which is 2€ per adult per day.

2 hours daily cleaning for 5 days per week is included. Any other service is an extra.
