Sunset Cottage - Lakefront Cottage with Private Dock

Sunset Cottage is cozy, warm, and full of charm — the perfect place to soak in crisp autumn air and golden lake views. Whether you’re sipping coffee by the electric fireplace or gathering around the outdoor fire pit under the stars, this 1940s quaint lakefront gem offers a peaceful fall retreat for couples, families, or friends.

Direct access to Lake Wallenpaupack is right in your front yard, with sweeping views from the spacious dining table inside. In autumn, the sunsets here are nothing short of breathtaking, often framed by fiery foliage reflecting off the water.

You’ll have private lake access with your own dock, perfect for fall fishing, paddling, or simply sitting with a blanket and taking in the scenery. A brand-new dock (2024) is shown in the photos.

Included with your stay:
• Paddle boat
• 2 paddle boards
• 2 kayaks
• Swimming (if you’re brave enough for the cool water!)

Please note: Jet ski slips are not available for renters. Power boats are welcome — bring your own and tie off to the dock.

Lake Access:
Lake access may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns. The upper yard is flat and easy to navigate, but the path to the dock involves an incline with wooden/stone steps and boulders (depending on water levels). In high water, the walkway to the dock may be submerged — please use caution.

Lake Water Levels:
• Spring – High levels
• Summer – High water mark is June 1 (walkway may be underwater)
• Fall – Lowest water levels with much of the rocky shoreline visible, still allowing boat docking and offering a unique, peaceful shoreline experience.

• Starter supply of toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags
• Parking for 3 vehicles
• Ring cameras outside for security

House Rules:
• No parties
• Dock available Memorial Day weekend through September
• Boat rental available (inquire for details)
