Welcome to The Overlook, a beautifully designed lakefront escape perched above Lake Wallenpaupack. With sweeping views and private lake access, this three-level home offers the perfect blend of serenity and group-friendly flexibility—ideal for families or friends vacationing together.

Steps required to access home. (19 steps from driveway to home and 49 steps from home to lake)

Home has 2 separate entrances and level 1 is not connected internally to levels 2 & 3. You must enter through separate exterior doors. Ideal for groups traveling together or for children/adult separation.

Please note, the owner's boat will be docked at the home during your stay. This boat is not included in the rental and should be kept off limits during your stay. You can still dock your own boat or a rental!



LAKEFRONT LIVING

The private lakefront is the highlight of this property, perfect for launching an included kayak, swimming, or enjoying shimmering lake views from the dock. Located in a quiet cove on Lake Wallenpaupack, the setting is ideal for paddle sports, fishing, or simply relaxing with your toes in the water. The home includes a Peloton Bike and SONOS speakers.



Note: You must descend approximately 49 stairs to access the lakefront from the home. The lake area includes dock space and is perfect for bringing your own watercraft (seasonally available mid-May through mid-September). The home includes 3 single-person kayaks (with 6 lifejackets: 1 Adult XL, 1 Adult L, 1 Adult XS, 1 Adult universal (90lb+), 1 Youth (50 - 90lb), 1 Child (33-55lb)).

ENTERTAINMENT & RELAXATION

Enjoy evenings around the outdoor fire pit, streaming movies on one of the TVs, or sipping coffee on the deck surrounded by trees and water.



LAKE INFO

The lake area surrounding the dock is great for swimming, paddle sports, and fishing, and the cove can be quiet and peaceful (especially Monday - Friday)

The flat rock entry to the lake makes it possible to wade in, although the rocks can be slippery depending on recent weather conditions

Water levels of the lake vary throughout the year, with ample depth for docking a boat (max. 22') during the summer season.,

Since the lake freezes, all docks are removed for the fall/winter/spring months. They are typically removed in mid-September and returned in late-April. precise dock timing is dependent on many factors, and is not guaranteed - so please inquire if you're interested in a Spring (April/May) or Fall (September) rental with boat storage.



GOOD TO KNOW

Rental Agreement required before stay

Day Guests are limited to 7 additional people over the 10 and must be listed on the rental agreement prior to arrival

Our occupancy is limited to 8 adults, and up to 10 with kids. This is strictly monitored and enforced. Attempting to bring more occupants will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation, without refund. The community is strict and we do not have any leeway here.

Please note there are neighbors around the house and sound travels far. We are trying to create a serene getaway for our guests as well as be respectful to our neighbors. So we ask that outside noise be kept to reasonable levels. To ensure this environment we have outdoor noise monitors.

No pets allowed

Please note we have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old.

We require the majority of guests to be above 25 years old, with the exception of families with children.



Parking is strictly limited to 3 vehicles. No exceptions.

No RVs or trailers permitted.

No Smoking inside – smoking outside only. Must not leave any butts and ashes behind

NO FIREWORKS or discharging of any firearm is not permitted. Includes BB, air, pellet, paint guns.

Speed limit throughout community is 10 mph, and is strictly monitored

Quiet time 10pm – 8am – this is a family-oriented neighborhood, no late-night parties allowed. This is a family-oriented neighborhood. Excessively loud parties, voices, music will be noticed by the community and reported to the owner. In addition, outdoor noise monitors have been placed on the property.



Steep terrain and multiple stairs - Please note there are 19 steps from parking to the house and an additional 49 from the house to the Lake.

Pack n’ Play included at the house.

Linens and towels provided at no extra charge.



We aim to set the standard for short-term rental experiences.

We will proactively notify you when early check-in and/or late check-out are possible.
