Bosuns Cottage | Winterton Cottages

Bosuns Cottage is a pretty detached thatched cottage overlooking the village green in Winterton-on-Sea. It provides a perfect place for a holiday, or a getaway at any time of year. As well as being five minutes stroll from the beach, Bosuns Cottage is close to all the village amenities including the local pub, fish & chip shop, Seal View cafe, post office and village shop.

The spacious living area spans the length of the left side of the property with comfortable seating for six with sofas and armchairs. There is a modern electric fire and Smart TV with Sky (including Sky Sports), Netflix and a DVD player. This continues into the bright and airy kitchen and dining areas which overlook the pretty garden. The well equipped kitchen has a high level electric oven, hob, Nespresso machine, slow cooker, under counter fridge and full size dishwasher. There is an additional fridge/freezer and washer/dryer in the garage. There is a large oak dining table and chairs. Access to the garden is through the double patio doors.

With two double bedrooms, Bosun's Cottage is suitable for up to four adults (no children allowed). The downstairs ensuite bedroom has a kingsize bed and plenty of storage. There is also private access to the garden. The en suite has a walk in shower, WC and basin. The garage is accessed through the downstairs bedroom. A further downstairs shower room is to the right of the front door. Upstairs there is a further kingsize bedroom overlooking the green. There is a wardrobe, drawers and dressing table.

At the rear of the cottage the back garden has two areas: a patio with garden furniture, and then steps lead down to a pretty lawn area planted with shrubs and trees. The back garden is fully enclosed and safe for dogs - two small/medium dogs are welcome and the beach is only a 5 minute walk away. Dogs are welcome in the downstairs living areas, but we kindly ask that they are kept off the furniture. There is an outside tap at the front of the cottage for washing sandy paws! Off road parking for two cars is at the front of the cottage on the driveway.

Fabulous stay

Had an amazing week at bosuns cottage and Winterton-on-Sea, So peaceful and restful, the beach is amazing and had lots of lovely walks, Bosuns cottage has everything you will ever need for your holiday,and more, Have booked again for may next year, and that will be our third stay iat Bosuns cottage

Cottage was fantastic. Everything you could possibly need and such a lovely location. My second visit to Winterton on Sea and wasn’t disappointed. Garden secure for dogs. Lovely dog friendly beach just a few minutes drive away. Poppy Tearoom in village is a must to visit.

Relaxing long weekend

This was my 2nd stay at Bosums cottage and have already booked for later in the year. Bosums is an extremely clean and comfy cottage in a great location - pub is across the road, chippy and Poppys only a couple of mins walk away and the path to the dunes/beach is 5 mins away. We had great weather during our stay so got to sit out in the lovely private garden. Great welcome pack.

Superb property

Lovely house in the centre of Winterton. Close to all amenities and the beach. Excellent private garden, safe for our 2 dogs. High end fixture and fittings, very comfortable seating and bed.

A beautiful, comfortable cottage in a lovely Norfolk village

We absolutely loved our stay in Bosun’s cottage and couldn’t fault it. Warm, clean and comfortable, the cottage was incredibly well equipped. Secure garden for our dog to sniff around and just a short walk to the sand dunes and beach. A reasonable pub in the village, good cafe and fish and chips meant we didn’t need to stray far. Other excellent pubs and walks within easy drive. A perfect place for break with the dog and we will return.

Beautiful Cosy Cottage

I have stayed in Winterton many times but Bosuns Cottage is one of the best cottages I have stayed in. The outside of the cottage is picture perfect and inside is spotlessly clean and cosy. Every detail has been thought of to make it a lovely restful stay. It is ideally situated within easy reach of the village shops and the cosy village pub which does fantastic food and has the added benefit of being dog friendly. It is also only a short walk to the beautiful sandy, dog friendly beach. Thank you for a truly lovely restful holiday.

Beautiful Bosuns Cottage

We had a lovely break at Bosuns cottage. Location is excellent, just minutes from the pub, Poppys and the beach. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, with everything you would need for your stay. We were very lucky with the weather so was able to make the most of the gorgeous garden, which had plenty of seating and totally safe for our dog. Communication with Ian, the owner, was excellent and the welcome pack was generous and very much appreciated. Hope to return very soon.

Excellent cottage.

Excellent. Very well stocked with utensils etc. Good design particularly in the conversion of the old garage. Lovely garden. Hope it survives two dogs having fun! Comfortable bed. Will hopefully return.

Another Wonderful stay at Bosuns

Booking process was smooth. Cottages details sent electronically all very clear and user friendly. Superb location in the village yet a few minutes to the beach. Cottage is beautiful, well thought out. Everything detail thought about. Has all the facilities and home cooking equipment you need plus extras!! Lovely welcome pack even the dogs had a treat. Loved it and will be returning.
