Creekside Hideaway
This charming miner's cabin is perched right along Deer Creek canyon, right downtown in the Historical District of Nevada City. With designated parking for the property, guests are just step away from everything downtown has to offer, but with a sense of peace & quiet nestled in the picturesque wooded canyon along Deer Creek. THIS IS A PET FRIENDLY UNIT
Charming cabin with lots of beautiful architectural details. Obvious that while it may have some history it is well loved. Beautiful spot on the creek which makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere despite the fact that restaurants & shops are a quick easy walk from the cabin. Very much looking forward to staying here again sometime. Two quick notes regarding food in the area, The Willo Steak house is absolutely worth the 5-10 minute drive. Best restaurant steak I have had in years. On the other hand, The Communal Cafe... only go there if you have lots of time. Like at least an hour. We had to walk away without getting our scrambled eggs after waiting 40 minutes. Back to the positive.. The cabin is gorgeous, the bed is comfy, and the shower has great hot water with enough pressure to actually wash my hair. Overall this place is great!
It's an older property but it had everything we needed including AC and wifi. We appreciated how easy it was to get in and out of the house, the parking, and the location. The location was absolutely perfect for our downtown Nevada City weekend. We would come back.
Outside is a little rustic looking; updated and very nice on the inside. Great location! Shower is a step below the rest of the cabin but, it's clean and works. This was a great find and well worth a repeat trip.
Great location, easy check in. Property is a bit worn & can use an exterior cleaning. Close to highway so expect some traffic noise when windows are open. With windows closed it was fairly quiet.
The property is smaller than the photos make it to be. It is a Studio not a one bedroom. The sounds of the creek were pleasant but we did not feel comfortable with the windows open at night therefore did not have the tranquil sound. The window that would not be accessible from the outside was not able to open. I understand why as it was very high from the ground but would have been nice to be able to use for ventilation and ambiance of the creek. The sleepy little town and shops typical open at 11:00AM so that was a bummer as it was quite hot making going to town in the afternoons uncomfortable. Overall it was a pleasant and quiet stay.
The room itself is good, there are many amenities including a Keurig, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. Some of the windows don't work well but the sound of the creek rushing by is soothing. We loved sitting out by the creek and the fire. We had a bbq there too. Our host helped me recover my lost item and I really appreciated that. Check in was easy and the walk into town was really close to town.
Such a cute little place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in and out were seamless and the place had everything we needed. The owner was very easy to reach for the occasional question. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for comfortable, private accommodations within easy walking distance to Nevada City.
Stayed here for a nice weekend getaway. Great location close (walking distance) to hiking trails and a cute downtown. The place was functional and comfortable with a nice deck overlooking the creek.
Stayed here with my partner over a long weekend and was very happy with our choice. Super close to downtown Nevada City, easy communication with the host, cozy space with all needs and wants met. Would recommend!
Cute 1BR cabin, with all the necessary amenities including snacks and Keurig coffee. :-) Great location - very walkable to Nevada City Main Street activities. Would definitely stay again.
This property/cabin was perfect for our short visit.1 block off old town, easy walking distance. Visited Washington(town) off 49 to the north and back down to Grass Valley. Nevada City still has an old town feel to the old town area. A little disappointed in Grass valley, it's lost that. Sure the buildings are old but the closure and modernization of old town just lost a lot of appeal for me.
From the huge dedicated parking spot to the antique-filled one-room interior, two outdoor seating areas, ample hot water, excellent mini split cooling, king bed, thick and copious number of towels--this cute quaint is a perfect retreat with privacy, two minute walk to main street, two minutes from highway onramp
extremely comfortable with nice little touches like keurig coffee machine. location, of course, can't be beat. would definitely stay here again or recommend to a couple.
