Grange-over-Sands, a fashionable Edwardian resort, is a short drive away. Just a short drive away in the other direction are Lake Windermere, the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere, all of which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many.
