My husband and I enjoy staying at historic hotels. What they may lack in amenities due to the historic nature of the property, they make up in charm. We stayed in one of the carriage houses, which was cute and nicely decorated. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, the heating provided by electric heater was absolutely inadequate, there was no place to put things in the bathroom, like a cosmetic bag and there was a space where this easily could have been done, the wiring on one of the lamps was frayed, the TV wasn't able to access programming, and the lock system was a bit wonky. We would love to see this property thrive because of its historic nature and it has plenty of potential. When we tried to provide some feedback to the hotel staff at the desk, we received a rather chilly, snippy response. I would expect better.
