The Doctor’s Mansion - Arkadia

A 2 storey stone-built, traditional mansion, fully renovated, in the village of Lagadia .

The Mansion features 2 big bedrooms, spacious common spaces inside & outside the house and can host a group of family or friends up to 6 persons
The Mansion was the residence of Ioannis Iliopoulos who used to be the doctor of the village. It used to be a typical wealthy Arcadian mansion of the 1860’s and it sets itself as an example of the local architecture.

On the ground floor, there is a big living & dining area , with a fireplace & an impressive "messantra" . The kitchen next door, is fully equipped with all necessary amenities .
Wooden stairs lead to the upper floor where the 2 bedrooms & 2 bathroom are situated.
The spacious bright bedroom leads to a small balcony overlooking the village and the valley. The room by itself is very spacious, featuring a matrimonial bed of cast steel (μαντεμενιο κρεβατι), a sitting area which can be transformed into a double bed for an extra adult (or 2 childen) , an office desk and extra seating space with armchairs .

The second bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower, 2 big single steel beds which can remain as single beds or easily joined together forming a king size bed, as they have wheels.

There is an adjacent bathroom serves guests of the main bedroom and features a shower

There is a front garden with lush shadow of mulberry tree and a back garden overlooking the valley

The Mansion is located on the upper part of Lagadia. Be aware that parking is 100m from the entrance of the Mansion. From there you have to walk 100m in a narrow stone path


Just before entering the village of Lagadia, 250m after a small bridge, turn right on a steep asphalt road, which will lead you to the upper part of the village (go past AGNANTIO GUESTHOUSE, ΘΟΛΟΣ tavern) - photo attached.

After going up for a while the road enters the village for the first time. At that point take a sharp right and continue up, exiting the village. Further up, after entering the village again, on the first fork/intersection (20 meters before ΘΟΛΟΣ cafe) choose the road on your left, going downwards. Aim for the church of St John (Αγιος Ιωαννης) where the closest parking is, and park in front of the Old Elementary School of Lagadia & just above the church.
From there you walk the paved road and enter in a narrow street (photos attached) and in 100m you have arrived on the Doctors Mansion on your right.



After entering the gate there are 10 steps and the main entrance of the house is on your left.
