Retraite au toit rouge paisible - Nature et ciel nocturne

Location de cabane logarithologique confortable avec vue sur le lac (à travers la rue du lac) au lac d'Égypte dans le sud de l'IL avec 2 lofts ouverts. Capacité 4-6. Un loft avec escalier et un lit Queen, un avec une échelle et 2 lits jumeaux et un canapé convertible en bas. Laveuse / sécheuse dans la cabine. Cuisine complète, salle à manger, salle de bains avec baignoire à griffes. Foyer au gaz, Roku à la télévision et WIFI et beaucoup de DVD. Plateau extérieur avec barbecue à gaz et vue sur le ciel nocturne à mourir. Firepit avec des bûches pour s'asseoir. Apportez votre bateau! Dock sur le lac de l'autre côté de la rue disponible avec canoë, kayak et pédalo. Poteaux de pêche en cabine à utiliser. Idéal pour les familles, les pêcheurs et le week-end romantique.

We couldn't be happier with the accommodations or with our stay. Kris is a great communicator and a very hospitable host. We had absolutely everything we needed. The cabin is spacious, clean, and well appointed. My husband and I will definitely return to this property in the future.

Above and beyond

First of all, this lake was exactly what we were looking for over the weekend. We wanted a quiet lake with opportunities to boat and swim by the dock. This lake delivered. The property is exactly as advertised. It was very clean and well maintained. It worked well for a family of four (which we are). If you want fishing, they have that. If you want to paddle in a kayak, they have that. If you want stargazing on a clear night, they have that too. Here is where the above and beyond come into play. We were walking on the dock and a member in our party accidentally dropped our only set of car keys into the lake. Needless to say we were in deep trouble. Fortunately, the keys were in about six feet of water and not in the middle of the lake. The owners of our cabin had a long magnet and were able to retrieve our keys for us. Talk about service!!!! Nevertheless, we were very grateful for their help and very much enjoyed our stay at Red Roof Retreat. I would highly recommend staying here.

Getaway from Life

Switched jobs in March and have been STRESSED ever since. Finally found a couple days we could getaway from life on our anniversary...landed at this cute cabin. The loft beds were tricky to get to so our son camped out on the hide-a-bed but it was perfect. We loved the space. We weren't there a ton as we were out hiking at local state parks and the national forest. We had fires the 2 nights we were there. It was exactly what we needed. The hosts were super easy to get ahold of and very responsive. In fact, I had mentioned we were getting away for our anniversary and when we arrived, there was an anniversary card and cupcakes in the fridge for us. Very thoughtful and kind that Kris & Matt would go out of their way to treat us. Thank you again for the relaxation and memories.

Cozy Cabin

Kris and Matt went above and beyond with their hospitality. So welcoming from the start. The cabin was fantastic and the lake was stunning. We had an absolutely awesome time. We will definitely be back!

Lovely retreat

The cabin is adorable and just the right size for 1 - 4 people (if at least 2 are kids). Very clean. This trip was just me but I plan to bring my two kids with me next time. The master bed is comfortable. Access to the doc, canoe, paddle boats, etc is simple and even though it is shared, pretty private, too. Day tripping around the area was amazing. There is so much to see and the landscape is beautiful.

A sweet getaway with a homey feel

The property is off the lake but has access within 100 ft with a canoe, paddle boat, paddle boards, and even a stargazing deck. The owners are responsive, kind, and neighborly- they even brought over coffee filters and maple syrup! We loved staying here, and the cabin has tons of little touches that make it memorable, homey, and lux all at the same time. I’d suggest the red roof retreat to a couple of a couple with one or two kids for an outdoor/indoor getaway!

Enjoyed our stay! Will be back again.

We had a wonderful stay with Red Roof Retreats! The home was cozy and warm, perfect for a cold winter weekend getaway. We visited right before the holidays and the cabin was full of Christmas decorations, which we enjoyed. We were able to cook, watch movies, and relax, and the location was great - just a short walk to the lake and a short drive to Fern Clyffe State Park. Our host communicated with us during our stay and helped us feel welcome. We loved the welcome basket and recommendations of things to do in the area, and small touches like cold beer mugs in the freezer. Only word of caution would be for taller and larger folks, the twin loft beds are pretty short and you may have a hard time with the loft ceilings. For us, it was perfect, and we will be back again!

Lovely cabin, even lovelier hosts

Our stay at the cabin was perfect! I very much appreciated the warm welcome Kris and Matt greeted us with via email as soon as we booked. Communication was prompt and very kind every time with had a question. The kitchen had more cooking supplies than most, which we took full advantage of. The place is spacious, but cozy, has great light, a nice deck and we absolutely loved the stargazing dock. It’s also very close to some excellent hiking spots. We’re already planning to book another stay soon!

This property was adorable and we would love to return in the near future. We met the owners who live across the street and they are very friendly, all their properties in the area look just as nice - well maintained and rustic. Easy access to lake for canoeing/kayaking too. We love this area but we came to town specifically for Vulture Fest which was disappointing/not what we expected so it was nice to have this little retreat.

The Red Roof Cabin went beyond our expectations! It is the perfect size for 3 or 4 people..super cute ...we were beyond happy! Lots of kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats.. I highly recommend!

Cabin by the lake

We loved this little cabin. It had everything we needed for our trip. We had fun at the lake everyday, we used the stand-up paddleboard, kayak, canoe, and paddleboat. We would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends. The owners are great at communicating.

Holiday weekend

Always great to be on this lake on July 4th. Cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our long weekend. I was disappointed in not being able to tie our boat onto the dock, but appreciated the use of the paddleboards and kayaks. Access to the dock was a hike!

Didn’t make the trip to enjoy your location

Good Morning, My girlfriends father passed away and we weren’t able to enjoy your cabin this time around. It was a wild week and I wasn’t able to reach out to let the property manager know of the incident. Relaxing weekend getaway

Everything was fantastic! We were warm and cozy. Loved the view of the lake and all the pretty Xmas decorations. There were little treats that my kiddos appreciated. We loved finding the hidden army men! We had everything we need for our meals. The neighbor across the road was nice. The bathroom was neat, and we appreciated the washer/dryer. We plan to come back in the summer months to appreciate the lake more. Thanks!!
