The Property

Escape to Firefly Sky, your perfect lakefront getaway nestled on a beautifully maintained, private lot on the central part of Lake of Egypt. Featuring two expansive decks with panoramic water views, this home offers an idyllic setting for family fun, peaceful relaxation, and unforgettable lake adventures.

Enjoy direct access to a quiet side cove where the water is calm and deep (up to 11 feet), ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, or fishing. We provide two kayaks, a paddleboard, fishing poles, noodles, a floating Lilly Pad, and lifejackets in all sizes to ensure safety and fun for everyone. Bring your own lake toys too—the large water space offers plenty of room for all kinds of fun!

The property includes a private boat dock with space for two boats, perfect for easy, direct lake access for boat owners or renters.

For your convenience, there is ample parking space available on the property, comfortably accommodating multiple cars as well as boats or trailers.

After an active day on the water, cozy up around one of two outdoor fire pits, each enhanced with outdoor lighting to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for evening conversations, s’mores, and stargazing. Enjoy meals cooked on the outdoor grill, and for extra entertainment, the game room located in a dedicated outdoor shed features a dart board, corn hole, and life-size Connect Four, providing fun for all ages.

Race Weekend

Our crew was in town for the Tunnel Hill 100 and this was a great location at only about 25 minutes away from the race start and within 25 - 30 minutes of all of the main race stops for our crew. We were able to get some great rest in the day leading up to the race and the space was awesome for our group traveling in from various areas around the country to have some time to catch up around the table before the race. Beautiful spot.

Wonderful Family Reunion

We had a reunion with 7 of us. It was a great weekend! The house was exactly as pictured. It was clean and well stocked. We rented a pontoon boat and had it docked at the deck. We are definitely planning another reunion at the same spot!

Perfect Lake house getaway

We stayed here last week for a family trip. The house was as described the view, the dock and house. Not a fancy place but well maintained. This lake and rental is a hidden gem in southern illinois. We will come back again someday.

A nice roomy place. Nice inside & comfortable But the exterior & windows & window tracks needed a good cleaning. The uneven stones & no railing at the top of the staircase to get to the dock made it pretty treacherous for anyone with balance issues or a recent knee replacement like myself.

Overall, stay was fine I know the bathrooms were short on toilet paper and only one roll of paper towels. There could’ve brought some if we needed to. I didn’t see it in the listing might’ve missed it bottom stair, on deck portion heading down was loose one of the brick stairs are loose. Have to be very careful if you’re going down to the lake.

Location is quiet, peaceful, beautiful and serene. The deer were everywhere. House is super comfortable. Host is attentive. What I appreciate is the tv was so easy to operate and the guide provided so helpful. Overall a very good place to vacation and relax.

Gorgeous views!

We will rent this home again. It's clean, tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The views from the top deck make this entire stay worth it. We brought our jet skis and kept them parked in the private, covered dock. This house has plenty of lake floats, fishing poles and extra life jackets. The water is deep enough off the dock to jump and swim.

Great time at Lake Egypt! We spent a lot of time on the deck taking in the view of the lake. The beds are very comfortable. We even rented the pontoon boat for a day. Anytime we needed to communicate with the host his response time was fast.

Perfect Family/Friend Getaway

The home was clean and well stocked with amenities. Kayaks and paddle board were great. Lots of flotation devices for swimming in the water off the dock or if you use a boat. Fire pit on site had firewood available and gas grill was clean and had extra propane. Owner communication was good and the check out list was very reasonable. Nothing crazy like you see with other rentals. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again if I come back to this area!

Great location

This was our first time at Lake of Egypt. This home is in a perfect location. The rooms are all comfortable and we enjoyed spending time on the large decks each day. We rented a boat and had no trouble getting out each day. There are a lot of steps so this wouldn’t be a good choice for anyone not in good physical health. Great house. We would come back!

Lake house
