Welcome to Bluegill Cottage! This place was built in 1970 on a 0.35-acre lot, surrounded by water and nature. The cottage was recently renovated to provide a cozy environment, perfect for family mini vacations. The cottage is sitting by Sleepy Hollow Lake, offering a peaceful experience but plenty of adventure, from fishing to kayaking/boating.

Bluegill Cottage offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, equipped with a king, a queen and 2 twin beds. Although small, there is plenty of wiggle room in this lakeside cottage. The place offers a big screened porch with gathering area, dart board, a big backyard with BBQ kettle grill, campfire area with firewood, and private docks by the water. Pedal boats and kayaks are available on site (no extra fees). The place also offers a full kitchen with all essential supplies (oil, spices, sauces, etc.), bakeware, utensils and equipment (crock pot, oven, etc.). Always-stocked-up coffee station with coffee, teas, and hot chocolate for guests.

Recently updated with office desk, chair and high speed internet for remote work. This cottage is pet friendly. Pet fee applies per stay.

Bluegill Cottage was amazing. We went here for a quiet relaxing weekend and that is just what we got. From s'mores around the fire to jumping into the lake. Lots of great memories were made here. And the lake house was the perfect size for our group of six. Tuan was also an amazing host! It was taking a little longer than usual to cool off the house and since he couldn't get anyone to come check the air conditioner that day, he did not hesitate to come over & make sure it was running properly. We will definitely be going back!

Awesome getaway!

Absolutely enjoyed the weekend, even with a little rain. Will be booking this place several times a year! The house is extremely well kept and comfortable. Had a great time playing darts on the back porch. The fire pit area was amazing in the evening. Enjoyed taking the kayaks out with my son to go fishing. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying!

A Peaceful Retreat

I was looking for something quiet and peaceful to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was a great location, very peaceful, and right on the lake that allowed my husband time to do his favorite hobby - fishing. Will definitely be back again.

Relaxing getaway

This peaceful lake side property was clean, thoughtfully stocked and a wonderful place to relax for the weekend. We enjoyed coffee on the dock listening to birds each morning, and kayaking in the afternoon. And spent our evenings around the large fire pit.

I had to visit my uncle who is in bad health and needed to find a place close and promptly. The host was very accommodating for arriving early and I appreciate it very much. I would love to stay longer to enjoy the amenities. We will be back.

Wonderful place

This place was a great spot for us to stay while visiting family in Texas. Enjoyed the decks, kayaks, and paddle boat as well as the fire pit. Only negative is that with the hard water in the area you have to use a lot of bottled water and there isn't any recycling. Nothing that this place can help, but perhaps knowing that I can come better prepared if we were to stay here again. Owner was very communicative and thought of everything. Truly a lovely place.

Peace and quiet

This property was well kept and perfect for our family getaway. The lake access and amenities is what sold me but the cottage was a plus, it felt like home. My wife loved the kitchen and home decor and I loved the deck and fire pit areas. We will definitely stay again.

Memorial Day Weekend - Amazing Stay

This property is AMAZING! Location easy to find using GPS - very, very clean. The paddle boat and kayaks were a hit with my family (pre-teen and 9 year old). Life jackets were available as well. House was stocked with toiletries and spices/cookware. This place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood - quiet lake - fishing - riding the paddleboat on the lake. Highly recommend!!!
