Stunning Five Bedroom Home Near Tewkesbury
We welcome you to stay in our beautifully converted countryside retreat in the peaceful village of Forthampton, just outside Gloucester and Tewkesbury. Surrounded by open fields, it offers a private and relaxing setting while still being within easy reach of the city and the wider Cotswolds!
The home is split across two connected halves, making it ideal for larger groups who want both shared spaces and a bit of privacy. As you enter the right hand side, you’re welcomed into a bright open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, perfect for spending time together. The kitchen features an Everhot oven, and the living space includes a TV, plenty of seating and a cosy log burner. There is also a full bathroom and utility room on this floor.
Upstairs, you’ll find a bedroom with a king-size bed and bathroom directly across the hall, a twin room with an ensuite and bath, and a spacious master bedroom with a super- king size bed, ensuite shower room, freestanding bath, sofa and TV, ensuring a luxurious feel and space to tuck yourself away for a bit of peace and quiet!
The second half of the house can be accessed via its own entrance or through the connecting balcony. Downstairs, we have our amazing games room with a pool table, sofas and a log burner. We also have another twin bedroom downstairs and accessible wet room, and upstairs, there is another twin bedroom with an open-plan ensuite bathroom.
Outside, we welcome you to enjoy our outdoor swimming pool and dining area, all set within the surrounding countryside to ensure privacy and peace - may even spot cows grazing nearby!
The Stables is ideally located for exploring the best of Gloucestershire. The historic Gloucester Cathedral and the regenerated Gloucester Docks are just a short drive away, offering a mix of culture, history and waterside dining. The wider Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within easy reach, with its honey-coloured villages, scenic walking routes and traditional country pubs. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful countryside retreat or a base for exploring the region, our home offers a warm, characterful and memorable place to stay.
Please note that due to the character of our home, there are some low beams throughout.
**Important: To help protect our homes and guests, we may require the lead guest named on the booking to complete an independent ID verification process prior to arrival. It’s nice and easy, taking less than 5 minutes to complete. Please note this MUST be completed by the named booker. If completed by someone else, we will request for the verification to be resubmitted. Failure to complete this process correctly may result in the cancellation of the booking.
Please note: We verify your details before your booking can begin and this must be completed 48 hours prior to your stay. You’ll receive a secure link to our deposit, damage waiver and ID verification platform to complete this step. You’ll be given the choice between paying a fully refundable £300 deposit (with a small, non-refundable £5.00 fee to cover payment processing fees) or purchasing a non-refundable £30 damage waiver, which protects you against accidental damage up to £300 during your stay. Check-in information will only be sent once this is completed.**
