A ten minute drive outside of downtown Glen Rose (The Dinosaur Capital of

Texas), you will find the perfect countryside haven! Complete with 5 bedrooms

and 3.5 baths your entire family can find rest and respite at this gorgeous

property. Feel your stress melt away as you enjoy a true "away from it all"

experience, but not to worry - there is plenty to keep everyone entertained.



On property you can hike down to our seasonal creek to collect fossils, enjoy

the deer, and check out the cave at the end of the creek. For those wanting to

stay closer to the home there is still plenty to do.



The property includes a private pool and hot tub as well a pickleball court ,

basketball, in-ground trampoline, and the ultimate game room in our completely

renovated barn. Play your favorite childhood games including pop-a-shot, skee-

ball, shuffleboard, ping-pong, foosball and over 4000 classic arcade games.

You can do all of that while watching a game or movie on our 85" big screen

tv. And now enjoy fishing in "Jonny's" Pond. Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill and

even catfish! (Catch and Release only)



Off property, there is so much to see, do, and eat! Your family can spend the

day at Fossil Rim Wildlife Park with over 1,100 exotic or endangered animals

roaming free. Explore Dinosaur Valley Park and all off its fossils on foot or

horseback. If you love to fish, you won't be disappointed with Wheeler Branch

Park. How about axe throwing? I bet it's been awhile since you did that.

Simply head over to nearby Sexton Mill and test your skills. Enjoy 36 holes of

Championship Golf at Squaw Valley Golf Club. (4.5 Star Rating from Golf

Digest)That, and maybe more activities await your family!



After a long day of adventure, you could cook a meal in our well-stocked

kitchen or go to one of Glen Rose's 20+ restaurants. Then spend some time

exploring the charming antique shops in downtown Glen Rose.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was just as it appears in the pictures, was very clean, and the owner was very responsive if we needed anything or had any questions. Our family had a great stay at this property! Although only 90 minutes from the Metroplex, Countryside Haven offered unmatched tranquility and peacefulness. Amenities like the pool and fully-equipped game room allowed us to relax while the surrounding acreage also made for brisk hiking. If you want to escape the hustle and grind of the city, look no further than the Haven.

Great place for family with kids!

We all loved the game room, pool, hike to the cave area and especially the trampoline. Beautiful home and property. Home very well equipped with everything you need. Great location for those planning to go to Dinosaur World and Dinosaur Valley! Grands are already asking to go back!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was extremely clean and thoughtfully prepared for guests—everything we needed was ready and waiting. The game barn was a hit with everyone and offered plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained. But the highlight of our trip was definitely exploring the beautiful creek on the property—it was such a unique and memorable experience for the whole group. Beautiful spacious home and property!

We booked this home for a weekend when we were in Texas for a wedding in nearby Walnut Springs. The home was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The owner was helpful and responsive. Lots to do, pickleball, basketball as well as a variety of games in the game room. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool and in the spa. We highly recommend this property!

A peaceful paradise away from it all.

I selected this property for all its amenities for kids and adults that want to be kids again. The house was perfect. The owner so kind and attentive. The fun stuff was endless. The barn with plenty of games. The pickleball court/basketball court is lighted for night time play. The pool and spa enjoyable. Also an inground trampoline. Also saw one deer on the property. I recommend this property for everyone.

Amazing place

We had a great time on our recent family vacation. The location is quiet and secluded, but close enough to town to make a quick trip if needed. This place has something for everyone--bird- and wildlife-watching, hiking and exploring for the nature lovers. Huge game barn for the younger set. Pickleball or basketball for the athletes (not it!). Big kitchen for the chefs. Really nice swimming pool for relaxing after the day's activities. Excellent connectivity for work or entertainment. A gem!

OMG

My goodness, this property is amazing. We’ve traveled with our 6 adult kid/kid-in-laws/significant one and grandkids for years and in this we have the pretty much perfect home. The party barn let us get away. Our eleven-year-old grandson said his favs were skeeball and hiking. The kitchen is incredible. I’d like to take the stove-top home. It had been raining and we were able to hike up and get in the waterfall. We will be back, but this is Texas and we may never see the waterfall again.

Perfect Family Getaway

The weather didn't cooperate, but that's not the owner's fault. Their property is beautiful and we would love to come back when we can spend time enjoying the outdoors & all they have to offer. I love that they give to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Comfortable and fun stay

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The house was stunning. It’s very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a great weekend. The property is beautiful with gorgeous views. We enjoyed walking to the creek, watching the sunset from the porch swing, and watching the deer run around in the distance. We loved star gazing at night. The property is very clean, very well maintained and just extremely peaceful. All of the amenities were incredible. The hot tub, pickle ball court, arcade room and trampoline were so much fun! There is so much to do on the property and made for a one of kind weekend for my family. The host was readily available over the phone to answer any questions and made check in and check out seamless. We highly recommended this stay to anyone and we can not wait to come back!

Family Trip at Countryside Haven

We appreciate the opportunity to stay at the Countryside Haven for our family vacation. Our stay here has been the perfect place for our families to reconnect and create new memories for our young kids. The young and old enjoyed the pool, game room activities, outdoor activities, and hiking to the cave looking for fossils. We actually spent more time on the property than venturing to activities in town due to the variety and relaxation here on property. We loved having the bar fridge to hold our drinks and was greatly needed as the fridge contained all the food for the week. The big screen tv’s were a nice touch to have for our use, but our families spent the majority of evening and relaxing time during the day playing games. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything and everything for cooking up meals for large families.

Great getaway for all ages

This was the perfect place for two groups of cousins to get to know each other. (Ages 4-10) With so much to do, it was great never hearing, “I’m bored.” The tank was a big hit-they were excited to see the little fish, and a turtle who came over to see if we would feed him. We walked around to the big tree before I thought there might be chiggers. Happily, none were reported. It would be so nice to have a picnic table or some adirondacks under that tree. One morning, we saw a herd of 10 deer, with two babies scampering around! The pool and the game room were the absolute favorites, though! The kitchen was well furnished. Everything was better than I expected.

We have been doing annual family reunions for several years and make it a point to experience a new location each year. Will probably break that tradition next year as we enjoyed this place so much. Well equipped, management very responsive, new/modern, lovely property. We loved the game room and pickleball court. Highly recommend.

Great place for family

Our family loved it here - the property is peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views all around. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the kids could not get enough of the trampoline and the pool. We loved the wrap-around porches and porch swing. So much space for the little ones to run around! The manager answered all questions promptly and made us feel welcome. We definitely want to return.

Countryside Haven

Countryside Haven is "Heaven on Earth". It has every amenity you can imagine in a warm family atmosphere. Our family gathered here for Tarleton's graduation and this home meet our every need. While you can spend days just exploring the beautiful property, take a short drive into the adorable little town of Glen Rose, or go to Stephenville as we did. It is far removed, but so accessible. We cooked every meal in the very well appointed kitchen and large gas grill. We as a family had the best time together and plan to return for another family reunion. The entire family would highly recommend Countryside Haven!
