Manta resort was perfect for what we needed, an oceanfront accommodation that offered a way to do laundry, rent bikes, any sort of water activity, and much more!
Two pools, restaurant, and a nice variety for breakfast!
Clean room and amazing staff. Arranged pre booked fun diving class before arrival. Thereâs a lot of shopping and dining options nearby and itâs close to the fast boat harbour.
Great place to stay especially if you're a diver or snorkeler. Everything you need is close by. The next door neighbor, Santorini, is the closest to real Greek food we've had since being in Greece.
Really enjoyed staying at Manta Dive Resort, only let down by the shower and bathroom, lack of hot water in room (not a major issue when its so hot anyway) but the water just dribbled out of the shower, better to shower by the pool.
Perfect location right by the beach, snorkelling area with turtles is basically on your doorstep. The bungalow was nice and cozy, the open bathroom however invited some animals into our apartment. Staff was very nice and helped us to organise diving and snorkeling tours.
Property neat and tidy. Quiet area, near many shops and restaurants. Room was a bit dark.Staff ranged from pleasant and enthusiastic, to being ambivalent.overall a nice enjoyable stay.
Fab place to stay, great rooms; with a fridge and open air shower and air con. 2 pools and right on the beach. Good food in their restaurant. And great location on the island. My husband did a dive day with them and the teaching was first class, I canât fault their dive school.
The only thing that was needed was a mosquito net over the bed but they wernt a problem just one or two that crept in.
We loved that you could snorkel straight out front of accommodation. Bungalows had everything you needed. Staff at restaurant were so friendly. You were always greeted with a huge smile. They answered our questions about Gili Air and were very helpful with anything you needed. Close walk from port. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful place and very nice bungalows! Amazing shower and service was good. Ok breakfast and it was nice that you can order it 08-13. Everything in a walking distance and still quiet to sleep. Cleaning was great also and would recommend this place gladly :)
Room was cute and clean. The bed was very firm and not the most comfortable (but I like soft beds and pillows). Sitting area by the pool was nice. We only had breakfast at the hotel, so can't comment on the rest. The breakfasts were decent though
We had a wonderful time with Manta Dive resort. Our only complaint was that there was very little light in the rooms. Wife was originally concerned that the bathroom and toilet was outside
Manta is an excellent dive resort. Rooms are comfortable, beds are cozy, staff is very helpful. There are delicious restaurants nearby - Sharkbite and Chillout were favs. There has been some erosion along this side of the beach. Walkout snorkeling is no longer a thing while the reef rebuilds. Snorkeling day and half day trips are available to great spots around the Gili Islands.
Everything on the island is quite walkable/bikeable so itâs not hard to find something in the area. The property was mostly clean, but being that the bathroom was outside - bugs were prevalent and it seemed easy for them to get in the room. I wished that the hotel offered bicycles to get around.
The room was pretty bare minimum, a bed and some shelves with a bathroom.
I had a great week at Manta. The rooms are basic but all you need for a beachside scuba escape. The staff make the place. So friendly and helpful.
For me the area that could be improved would be the pool areas. Both that I saw seem a bit tired / dirty and not inviting. I know at the time they were working on the area around the main pool but this means that the second pool should be kept really well so guests feel like using it.
Thank you team Manta for being so friendly and welcoming.
Manta dive was a good resort to stay at for diving - the staff were friendly and obviously passionate about their work and the area they work in. They knew their dive sites well and the guided dives were well-organized, friendly, and safe. The rooms were a little dated, and the bed linens could be renewed -rips and such made them feel a little old. The resort is 3-star, but I was surprised that there weren't bedside tables, the mini fridge was empty and the rooms were basic and bare. Likewise the pool was pretty but missing tiles and not very clean most of our stay. The food was very tasty in the restaurant, (although please provide earlier times for coffee in the morning if possible for us early risers) Again though, if you are there to dive, all of these things were irrelevant to a great diving holiday.
