The Space:

This pet-friendly house in Gearhart offers modern accommodations with a rustic vibe and plenty of space for a large group. With close proximity to the beach, you'll feel spoiled!



Located at the south end of town right off Neawanna Creek, you're within walking distance to long stretches of sand and Gearhart Golf Links.



The homey living room features plenty of seating, between the couch, chairs, and seats by the windows, which let in abundant natural light and offer an excellent view of the estuary. There's a wood fireplace, a full bookshelf, and a flatscreen TV for watching cable and DVDs.



This large, open space also features a dining room and kitchen. Up to eight people will fit around the dining table, and more seating is available right behind with raised stools at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook the perfect meal. Plenty of counter space, stainless-steel appliances, and a dishwasher make the whole process painless, and a new microwave was added in Sept 2025.



A large, fenced yard has a nicely manicured lawn your dog will enjoy if you choose to bring him (please note a 1 dog, 40-pound weight limit and a small nightly fee). There is also a charcoal grill for cooking up meat with a classic smokey flavor, and a portable firepit.



There are three bedrooms and two and a half baths in this house, making it suitable for up to six guests. Downstairs, one room features a queen bed, a TV with DVD player/VCR, patio access, and a full bath with tub/shower combo down the hall. A second room features a set of twin bunk beds and two separate twin beds (total of four, with new mattresses added in Sept 2025), and an attached nook has a double futon and patio access.



Upstairs is the primary bedroom with a queen bed, an armchair, a full private bath, and access to the private balcony.



There's also a laundry room in the house with a washer/dryer, and WiFi is available for your convenience. There are accommodations for little ones as well, such as a baby gate and booster seat, so you can bring everyone along!



This house is perfect for a large family retreat or reunion - walk just a block and a half to the beach to enjoy hunting seashells, flying kites, clamming, or catching a sunset. Go to Pacific Way Bakery and Cafe for coffee, or head less than a mile south to Seaside and all the fun you can find there!

Lovely Location in a sweet little town

We enjoyed this open, bright and welcoming house very much. The house could use some attention to details. We let vacasa know about these on arrival and they responded that they would send maintenance people. The house should not be advertised as having a grill. It is unusable. Non of this affected our stay. We had a great stay in Gearhart. Thanks.

Gearhart Rental

The rental has a nice family layout. The laundry room is a nice to have for air drying ocean wet clothes. The location is terrific with a quick walk to the estuary and sandy area (great for young kids) or, just beyond, to the ocean beaches. Close walking or biking distance to coffee and bakery and a good restaurant. Kitchen is well supplied with cookware and dishes/utensils.

Nice rental with potential

We really liked the layout of the house. It is spacious. The location to the beach and estuary is very good. The home has a well equipped kitchen and fun games and activities for children. We have rented in Gearhart several times in the past year. It is a very quiet and enjoyable community. Unfortunately, the rental is located next to very loud neighbors. We were kept awake until 1:30 AM with drunk people singing Karoki in a loud speaker system. During the day, a dog was continuously barking. The home could use a deep cleaning and maintenance . Stained carpets and several windows (bathrooms) do not open.

Love this house

Family and dog friendly home with walking access to beach. Fully equipped kitchen make meals easy and big fridge holds lots of food and beverages cold. Quiet location but minutes from Seaside and Gearhart restaurants, grocery stores etc.

This house was perfect for our 3 day getaway to the beach. Had everything we needed there and ready to go when we showed up the house was very clean and organized. Also had lots of beds if we needed for extra guests. Would go back for sure!

Black mold forces us out

Very nice place and roomy. However there was substantial black mold across an entire sliding glass door along with mold smell penetrating both floors. We were forced to leave and find other arrangements with no help from the host, Vacasa. When we asked for a refund, we were put off. Now four days later there has been no effort made to respond to our refund demand. It is illegal for a landlord In Oregon to knowingly rent out property with known black mold issues because of its toxicity to humans. The host, Vacasa, is totally irresponsible.

A lovely retreat

The retreat is lovely and spacious. Everything we could think of needing for our stay was available to us. You seem to have thought of everything. The location was perfect, quiet with great access to the beach and the town center. We have 2 opportunities for you to improve upon. First, your TV set up is ridiculously complex with next to no direction for use. For example, it would save a lot of aggravation for future guests to simply indicate the system will not work with the lower cabinet doors closed. It took 4 adults with a combined 75 years of education to get the system to work. Certainly not how we planned to spend out time. Of greater concern was your garage/parking set up. Several times you indicated clearly in written correspondence that we were to park 2 cars on the drive and 2 in the garage. We had 3 cars. In attempting to comply with these instructions, we tried to open the garage doors. The door on the right would not budge. We discovered It had an automatic garage door opener that was not working. It was unplugged with no explanation. We did not feel safe trying to plug it in so we tried the other door. It would open but the handle was dangerously loose from what looked like some very rotten wood. I got my car in the garage but it was not easy for such a routine and expected compliance. It was rather offensive and somewhat dangerous. I hope this feedback is helpful. The place was lovely and we would consider staying there again if the occasion arises.

Wonderful family retreat

All of us thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Although it wasn’t on the beach, it was a fun, short walk to a great beach. Our second night, we had a bonfire on the beach and appreciated the beach chairs. This home is conveniently located and has all the amenities you need. Our only small challenge was the coffee pot seemed to be clogged or something. We hope to stay there again!
