Moose on the Loose is a beautiful, custom built, true log cabin located in the Cobbly Nob neighborhood of Gatlinburg, TN. It has everything you need to enjoy your trip, including a fully equipped kitchen and resort amenities like 3 Community Pools, and Pickleball and Basketball Courts. It is semi-secluded, nestled into the trees with a view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park right across the street and just minutes to downtown Gatlinburg.

The space:
You will be given a code to access the cabin
There are 3 bedrooms (1 of which is located in the Rec Room) + 2.5 bathrooms that sleeps 8. You will have 3 levels with 4 decks (3 covered and 1 uncovered)

First floor:
- Queen over Queen beautiful log bunk beds (Bunks are located in the game room)
- 3-in-1 Pool / Air Hockey / Ping Pong Table and Foosball table
- Theater seating with 4 recliners and a 80-inch TV with streaming and surround sound. You can also stream your favorite music through Bluetooth over the surround sound system with subwoofer
- Covered deck with 5 person Hot Tub with color changing LED lights and a wooded view
- Several board games and puzzles
- Half bathroom
- 2 ceiling fans
- Laundry room with a full size washer and dryer

Second/Main Floor:
- 9 stairs to the front deck and walk into the open kitchen/dining/sitting area
- Enjoy the option of the views of the mountains from the front deck or a wooded view from the large back deck
- Back deck has a propane grill with outdoor seating
- Front deck is covered and has a beautiful view of the mountains or bear passing through
- Upscale kitchen with beautiful granite countertops, stainless steal appliances, and a fully stocked kitchen with the essentials of home including a crockpot, pots and pans, bakeware, a Keurig with optional pot or cup brewing +more
- Dining table that seats 7 + 2 more at bar area
- Fireplace with easy-to-use remote
- Small seating area next to the fireplace and kitchen with 2 rocker/swivel chairs
- Bedroom: King bed, 32-inch Smart TV with platform streaming, extra access to the back deck, and a ceiling fan
- Full bathroom offers a stone stand up shower w/ optional luxurious waterfall or detachable shower head

Third Floor:
- Take in the sunrise over the mountains on the covered front deck in one of the two rocking chairs under a ceiling fan
- There is a main seating/living room area in the loft with sectional sofa and a 45-inch TV with streaming + DVD player
- Large bedroom with En-suite bathroom: King size bed, 32-inch Smart TV with streaming, ceiling fan, and large bathroom with tub/shower combo

- Located in the Cobbly Nob area of Gatlinburg across from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
- Flat paved/gravel parking for 3 vehicles
- Outside gathering area and a beautiful view of the mountains
- Semi private with no neighbors behind or to the right side of the cabin
- Access to 3 community swimming pools (open from May-September) with 1 being heated and saltwater (open from May-October)
- 2 Community Pickleball Courts. You can rent Pickleball equipment and Basketballs from the Security office for a refundable $25 if returned with no damage.

Everything was great and as pictured. The property was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. We even saw a bear! Our host was quick to reply with any questions and very hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan to bring our kiddos next time for another trip to Gatlinburg in the winter.

Beautiful cabin, lovely views out the front balcony. Everything was as the host described. The cabin was spotless and had every necessity. The kids loved the hot tub and we all enjoyed the game room. My only complaint is that there was no storage for clothes in the bunk bed area- maybe just a small dresser would be helpful- and a few more hooks/ area for shoes and jackets near or around the entry. Overall we had a fabulous time at "moose on the loose"!

The house was better than I could have expected!!! I knew it was great, but once there, it was amazing! I loved that it wasn’t right in the downtown area, but yet everything was close enough to get to. The beds were comfortable, the house was spacious, stocked with everything you needed for cooking, very clean, and there was plenty to do to keep everyone happy (pool table, air hockey, ping pong, foosball), and theater seating to enjoy a movie at night. We loved using the hot tub in the evenings and playing games as a family in the game room. We saw black bears every day which was so cool. But, the thing that made our stay even better was how attentive the hosts were. Amanda got back to me so quickly with any questions I had. To me, that speaks volumes!!! I would highly recommend this house! If I come to Gatlinburg again, this would be my choice for sure!!!

Amazing

This property was amazing! The outside was beautiful as was the inside. Every detail was thought out and I loved all the moose touches! My teenagers really enjoyed the game room. The only downside was the driveway - either I'm not the best at maneuvering or it was just a little too small for my SUV to turn around. We had to reverse into the road to leave, which turned out fine, but I was a little nervous. This small detail would definitely not prevent me from staying here again.

We had an absolutely blissful weekend at the cabin with our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at home. The setting was peaceful and beautifully secluded, surrounded by nature, yet with all the comforts we needed.The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making it easy to unwind and just enjoy each other’s company. We spent our days hiking, playing games, sharing meals, and sitting by the fire. No distractions, just quality time.This stay gave us the perfect balance of rest and reconnection. Simply perfect

Our family of 7 enjoyed every part of this property! Not only is it tucked into a gorgeous mountainside with beautiful views and wild life, but it also offered plenty of entertainment on its own. The game room and hot tub were a hit with the kids and the multiple balconies were a hit for the parents. It was close enough to Gatlinburg if you wanted a night out but far enough from the city to feel close to nature and the mountains. If you’re looking for a family retreat that entertains the kids so you can get a break, this is your place!

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! The location was perfect as it was only 20 minutes from all the attractions in Gatlinburg. The host was super responsive and went out of her way to help us find some great spots for our son’s surprise proposal to his girlfriend. The host even checked on us to make sure the stay was going well. There was plenty of space for us to gather as a family and play games but also space on each of the decks for us to have our own downtime. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

We absolutely loved the cabin. It is everything we could have ever wanted. My main concern always is cleanliness, and it did not disappoint! We will definitely be staying here again. We even had visitors that stopped by (4 bears)! It was amazing!

Spring break getaway

Would definitely stay here again if back in the area. House is exactly as pictures show. We all enjoyed the game area and the hot tub.Property manager checked with us during our stay to make sure all was going well. This was one of our favorite bookings over the last few years!

Perfect cabin

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We were very pleased with the location and the activities that the house provided our three boys. They had plenty of things to do while we were in the cabin. My family of five had plenty of room. We loved being outside of town but not so far it took us forever. Gatlinburg was just a quick ride from the cabin. We will be back in the future!

Beautiful Cabin!

This cabin is beautiful. What a relaxing place to stay. The cabin was spotless, very clean and well maintained. The game room and theater was a blast. Beautiful kitchen and well stocked with plenty of dishes and cook wear. Our host Amanda was the best. We stayed during a winter storm and she kept us up-to-date on weather info. She was quick to respond. Even though the roads were scrapped and salted we enjoyed staying in. Amanda gave us recommendations for dining and we tried the Pizzeria of Gatlinburg and it was delicious!We saw 3 deer and 4 black bears! We would definitely recommend this amazing cabin and we look forward to rebooking.

Amazing!

The location is amazing very central to attractions and sightseeing. The house omg the house was amazing, had everything you need in a trip minus the food that’s all. These house is so well maintained, the log cabin experience was beyond our imagination from the entrance to the house to all of its interior and outside. So cuddly and warming! The hosts were making and always in constant communication as well as answered quickly to any questions we had during our stay. I would def book this vrbo again!

Amazing Cabin

The cabin is in a beautiful location with a great view off the front porch. When we first walked in it was so warm and welcoming with the two Christmas trees all lit up. Every room was beautiful and clean. We definitely recommend this cabin to everyone. We loved all the games and the hot tub.
