Summary:
Cliff House is a one of a kind mid century modern retreat now accepting bookings for May 2026. Located just five minutes from Highway 101 and a short drive to the Avenue of the Giants, this single story 3,000 square foot home features five bedrooms and three bathrooms in the main house plus a separate sleeping cabin. Enjoy a dramatic great room, panoramic doors, covered deck, Evo grill, fire pit, hot tub, king suites, and a bunk room that sleeps four, set on eight acres overlooking the Eel River
The Space:
Cliff House is a thoughtfully designed, single story retreat currently undergoing a full, high end remodel. We are excited to begin sharing this space and will continue posting updated photos as construction progresses and finishes are completed. Every detail is being carefully considered to create a one of a kind destination that blends modern design, comfort, and the surrounding natural beauty.
The main house is approximately 3,000 square feet and centered around an expansive great room that brings everyone together. This open concept space includes the kitchen, dining, and living areas, all with high ceilings and a unique architectural layout that emphasizes light and views. Large panoramic doors open directly to a covered deck, creating seamless indoor and outdoor living and making the home ideal for gathering, entertaining, or simply relaxing.
The sleeping layout is designed for both privacy and flexibility. One wing of the home includes three large bedrooms (2 king / 1 queen), each with easy access to the deck and views beyond. The primary suite also includes a queen air mattress for added sleeping flexibility and a luxurious en suite bathroom designed to feel like a private spa. On the opposite side of the great room is a dedicated family friendly area with a bunk room featuring two bunk beds that sleep four, along with a game room that serves as a 5th bedroom with a queen output bed.
There are three full bathrooms in the main house, each designed with comfort and quality finishes in mind. One bathroom is conveniently accessible from both the interior and the deck, making it perfect after time outdoors. A separate sleeping cabin on the property adds even more flexibility, offering additional King bed and a bit of extra privacy for guests.
Outside, the home opens to a covered deck with sweeping views of the King Range and the Eel River below. This space is being designed for year round enjoyment and will include outdoor dining, a fire pit, and a hot tub. The property sits on eight acres, providing a peaceful, private setting while remaining just minutes from Highway 101 and a short drive to the Avenue of the Giants.
Cliff House is very much a work in progress, and we look forward to sharing the transformation as it comes together. We appreciate guests who enjoy being part of the journey and are excited to experience a truly special retreat as it reaches completion.
Guest Access:
Guests will have private access to the entire property as described in the listing. This includes the main house, all interior living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, the great room, kitchen, covered deck, hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor dining areas. The separate sleeping cabin is also included with your reservation.
Cliff House is a standalone property set on eight acres, and guests will enjoy full use of the grounds and outdoor spaces surrounding the home. We are holding off on accepting bookings until the remodel is complete, so all areas shown and described will be fully accessible during your stay.
Other Things to Note:
We understand that booking a home while it is still being completed can feel uncertain. Please know that Cliff House is being finished to a very high standard and is designed to be a truly special retreat.
