Best of both world’s canal/ beach home-this house sits directly on a bayside canal with distant views of the gulf shore approximately a few football fields away from the beach.

This home is all about location and brings you back the basics of a canal home. Located right on the canal with a private boat dock, this newly renovated home nestled in Terramar Beach Community is perfect for beach getaways, water sports activities and fishing trips.

If your idea of a great vacation is being close to the water, then you will fall in love with Waterside Dream Beach/ Canal Home. This home offers two great water experiences being on a bay canal and within sight of the gulf shore. A walking distance to the beach.

This property offers a stunning sunrise and sunset views right on the upper deck, kayaks/ canoes to cruise the canal, fishing right on the dock and a walking distance to the beach. Don’t feel like walking? The community allows you to drive right up to the sand with your car or a buggy/golf cart.

House Features:

Upstairs is a large open- concept living, kitchen, dining and two bedrooms with a beautiful bathroom equipped with a 10-inch rain shower, 36in LED vanity mirror and plenty of lighting fixtures.

The back deck offers a picturesque view of the canal and has a 6x3ft picnic table and 4 lounge chairs.


The large living room open to the kitchen has 5seat leather reclining sectional sofa and a 48inch TV with a high speed wireless internet from Comcast.

The Kitchen has tile countertops and the "trending" blue cabinets. The open concept kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to make a quick or a five course meal such as, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, cooking ware, dishes etc. A newly built navy blue hue stained Kitchen Island placed between kitchen and dining makes it a multipurpose space and adds another space to wine and dine, seats 4 people!

There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master’s bedroom has a queen bed with a closet. The second bedroom is perfect for kids and adults alike. It consists of a bunk bed with 3twin-sized mattresses and 3 extra mattresses, sleeps 4 people. Both bedrooms come fully stocked with pillows, bed linens, towels and comforters.

Downstairs include a private fishing deck, boat dock, picnic-table, fully enclosed outdoor shower and an outdoor seating perfect for chillin’ when it get’s hot at the upper/back deck. A 22inch charcoal grill is provided for guests use.

Features an extra cozy room (suite) with it’s own full bath, ideal for a couple or a small family, and plenty of storage space for all your beach and boating gear!

Guests Access:
Terramar Beach Community offers a pool, beach access, boat ramp, and a pavilion. Check out all the fun at Pleasure Pier, great for the kiddos, which is only 30 minutes away and about 36 minutes to The Strand.

Waterside Dream Beach/ Canal Home is also convenient to Schlitterbahn Water Park, Moody Gardens, the Flight Museum, Sea Wolf Park and nearby beaches.

The neighborhood is next to a wetlands area, the Houston Audubon Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary is nearby, and Galveston Island State Park is about 9 miles to the east. A small grocery store, restaurants and a fire station is about a mile away.

Pros - The house looked exactly like the pictures. It was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood right on the canal. The house was set up well with plenty of space to sit and sleep. Bed was comfortable. Our favorite room was the bathroom. It looked completely renovated and well done. Was nice to sit outside on the deck. Would be nice if the chairs were more comfortable. We came from out of state so we didn’t bring our own. There were water toys and a kayak but we didn’t use them. Kitchen was stocked with everything one needs to cook. There was some coffee in the cabinet but is old and needs to be replaced. Access to house was super easy. Air conditioning worked really good. Cons - the stairs going up are quite steep and the top step isn’t the same spacing as the rest, it’s higher. This could be a trip hazard. For some reason we couldn’t find any dish towels or extra wash cloths. There was one wash cloth for the bathroom. We were able to locate extra towels and linens for the bedroom and there were several microfiber cloths. The house has a very unique, strong smell that I can’t quite describe. It permeated our luggage and clothes. Might want to look into air purifiers and air fresheners. Would certainly help with the stale, musty smell.

Our stay was great! We really loved the location and the house completely met our expectations. The open floor plan was very comfortable. My only complaint would be the downstairs bedroom had a mold smell that was very intense. Nobody wanted to sleep down there. First impression when walking in the room was a can of roach spray, so that didn't help squelch that fear. We chalked it up to beach living and moved past it, but it definitely felt like whomever draws the short straw will sleep down there. There was also a time censored lamp right outside the main level bedrooms that made it look like daytime. There was no switch to turn it off, so we had to put pillows in the windows to block it out. Other than that, the place was awesome. The owner was very responsive and we had a great time!

Loved It!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short family vacation over the holiday weekend! Our boys had a blast catching fish right off of the dock while we relaxed in the shade. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed, more than most other rental homes we’ve stayed at. The beach is very close, but we mostly enjoyed being in the vibrant canal community. The hosts were outstanding and allowed us some much-needed flexibility on check-in day. We loved our visit to this little piece of paradise and look forward to returning!

Perfect for Fishing

The property is in a great location further down the strand. It is well equipped in the kitchen and linens and towels. Also the dock is clean, with a fish cleaning station, hose, and chairs. Fishing from the canal is the highlight. We highly recommend going to the local bait shop. Owner was flexible and responsive!Just be aware that the bedroom with the bathroom attached is not connected to the other part of the house. It only has an external door that leads right out to the dock. (Which worked great for our early am teen to fish). The laundry is also separate in its own space with only an external door, on the bottom floor. This worked for us, but might not be the right set up for others.

Nice little canal home

Overall it was good, Teramar Beach is a great location with close proximity to the Beach which is just across the street from the neighborhood and the home is right on the water so you can fish/crab from the back porch. It's a good ways west on the island so if you needed something from in town or wanted to do something else, it's a good drive but otherwise we were very happy with our stay.

We love this house our second go around. We will definitely be back. The neighborhood is grest fishing water fun just peaceful. The owners reply back to hou very promptly and worked with with changing dates because of hurricane 🌀. Definitely a mudt go.
