Gorgeous 3BR Beach View - Galveston Oceanview Oasis

Purchased 2023 and fully renovated Galveston Oceanview Oasis at The Victorian Resort. Enjoy Galveston Island in our beautiful corner 3 bedroom 1.5 bath Condo with a balcony overlooking Babe's Beach - #1 rated beach in Galveston! Wake up to stunning views of the sunrise over the water from the master bedroom and living room. Onsite there are 2 large pools (both heated), 2 hot tubs, tennis courts, work out room, laundry room, café, bbq area & easy access to beach right across the street. Beach wagon, umbrella and beach chairs are available for use and are in the closet! Pack-n-play available as well.

The Space:
This 3-bedroom condo is at the Victorian Resort, a gated community only accessible to verified guests staying onsite.
New A/C and Nest thermostat installed January 2023 to keep you cool during your stay. Due to popular request, blackout curtains added to both full size bedrooms in August 2023.
Smart TVs in living room, bedroom 1, and bedroom 2
Queens bed in bedroom 1, queen bed in bedroom 2, twin size bunk bed in bedroom 3 (no door to this room, but we put up a privacy curtain), and queen mattress pullout couch in living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker (no oven).
Guest Wifi is complimentary. All TVs are smart TVs so come equipped with your streaming service (netflix, hbo, hulu, etc.) passwords. Living room tv has access to free cable tv.
Beach wagon, umbrella and beach chairs are available for use and are in the closet! Pack-n-play available as well.

The Victorian Condominiums charges $35 facility access fee at the time of registration. This $35 fee is per group in the reservation, it is not per person. The facilities access fee allows access for up to 14 days to all resort amenities in the complex to the guests and parking spaces for 2 vehicles. An additional $25 will be charged by the resort for both 3rd and 4th vehicles.
-There is not designated parking – park anywhere without a reserved sign
-Primary renter must be at least 21 years old
-The Victorian Resort does NOT allow pets in the property
-There is onsite parking available for trailer, campers & RVs
-This condo is smoke-free. However, smoking is allowed on balconies and outside the condominium.
-The condo is not wheelchair accessible. The bathrooms are not ADA compliant. There are no grab bars in the showers or near the toilet.
- There is a credit card operated laundry room located one floor down from this unit.
- Galveston Trolley service picks up in front, $1 for adults (cash only) and kids are free.

Other things to note:
Walk to: Babe’s Beach, Walmart, Sonic, Texas Pit Stop BBQ, Fro-yo, Jimmy John's, Rita's Custard, McDonald's, Popeye's, Kroger, Landry's, Tortuga, Waffle House, Happy Buddha, Starbucks, Little Caesars etc.

Just after checking in we experienced multie dead cockroaches in the kitchen and bar area of the unit. We also experienced live roaches throughout our stay. The unit appeared clean but the roaches were alarming and we were afraid of taking them home in our belongings so we left the property and moved to a hotel. There also was only one heated pool and one working hot tub. Elevator near the unit was not working. If these things had been revealed to us when looking to book a property, we would not have chosen this property. Property owner was appologetic but not proactive.

Great views & responsive host!

We had a great stay! We received detailed message from the host the day before arrival. Checkin was easy. We arrived during a storm, but the covered parking kept us dry. Honestly, first impressions were not great. The sea air in Galveston means almost every building is rusty, stained, saggy, etc. There are also bars in front of the doors of all the units. We never felt unsafe though. Inside was nice. Very well decorated and clean. There’s a dishwasher and induction stovetop in the kitchen. The bedroom closet had baby & beach gear and games. My teenage son and I enjoyed scrabble and taboo. The mattresses were ok, but definitely not great. But the view is exactly as advertised! Balcony was covered and had chairs. Lots of windows. Host was VERY responsive. When I couldn’t find the fan remote or figure out how to unlock the stove, he responded in minutes. I was very impressed. Overall this place was a great value!

Wonderful stay in Galveston

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. Location was great, right across the street from the beach. Our kids really enjoyed swimming in the heated pools each evening. The condo was well stocked with pans/dishes for preparing meals. The owner was very communicative and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Cute Condo

Cute and clean condo across the street from the beach. Worked great for our family stay and was very close to everything we wanted to do. Property was older but decently maintained. A little busy/loud since it’s on the main street, but very manageable. We did have a concern about the elevator near the unit not working and we didn’t know that upfront (traveling with a senior who had difficulty with the stairs) and the couch leg was broken so we didn’t have adequate seating for 5 people. But overall a great stay.

Wonderful Beach Getaway

A great location! We woke to a beautiful sunrise every morning. Beds are comfortable, kitchen well equipped, and plenty of room to sit in living room. Host was very responsive (I couldn't figure out how to change the thermostat!) The pool and hot tub were fabulous! Very easy to get around the complex. I would definitely stay again and recommend to all my friends.

Good location-probably best for family with kids

This is central to the beach and restaurants, shops, and Walmart. You could walk to a lot of things. Property seemed best suited for a small family with young kids. I stayed with my best friend and 18 year old son. There was not a lot of privacy even though there were 2-3 bedrooms (the 3rd bedroom is really only good for sleeping since it was not much bigger than a closet). The bathroom was a Jack & Jill with only a sliding door between the main bath toilet/shower and the half bath. Again, not a lot of privacy. The balcony was nice in the afternoon/evenings when it was shaded and comfortable. Sunny in the mornings but would be good if you like that. You have a great view of the ocean from the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom. We were down for just a super relaxing/chill trip so we didn’t really use the pools or hot tubs because they were often very busy. Check-in at the property office was very easy but the cleaners were still at the unit for 40 min after checkin. They let us come in and drop our stuff in the bedrooms. They did a good job of cleaning. WiFi was an open network (no password required) by the property. This meant it was very spotty as was cell service. Would have preferred a unit WiFi. We had a nice stay but overall I felt the property would be best for a family with young kids.

Quick stop

We spent the night here on a quick stop before a cruise. Property was nice, cover parking was a huge plus. Rooms were clean, communication with the owner was great. Overall a good experience and we would stay again.

Nice location and great value

We came down for a gymnastics meet with the family and stayed here for 3 1/2 days. It’s a great location that faces the gulf so relaxing on the deck was quite enjoyable. The beds were comfy and the pool and hot tubs were nice. I would easily stay here again!
