We had a wonderful time. The house was just perfect. Better than the pictures. The layout worked so well for us. House has everything you need. Kitchen and butler’s pantry are very well stocked. West End Marina restaurant is practically across the street and was very good. The deck is great for mornings, afternoon and night. Very short walk to beach. We set up a canopy and it was perfect for time at beach and running back to the house, or just taking a walk. Bryan answered my questions very promptly. Will definitely go back. Soon I hope

Stunning!

Staying at Blue Heron was a great decision!The online photos were lovely, but didn’t do it justice! The owners did a remodel earlier in the year, and the results are stellar.The beachy décor is tasteful, not over-the-top.I give top marks for the cleanliness of the house. (I’m a stickler!) It was equipped with so many of the things we needed. The “butler’s pantry” had plenty of extra space for storage of our food supplies, the island was great for prep.The main bedroom has a nice, walk-in closet. Both baths have large, dual-sink vanities, and plenty of towels.The location has an amazing view of the ocean—our primary requirement in choosing a house. The beach was close enough to hear the waves, and easy to access. Each of the bedrooms, as well as the living room, has a smart TV on the wall. None of the TVs were fitted with external speakers, so hearing the programs was a little difficult. (The speakers on those kinds of TV are not for a quality sound experience.) As one with mobility challenges, I had to be careful in the showers, since they didn’t have safety handles. And the platform bed in the main bedroom was a bit high, with no stool, but none of that distracted us from having a wonderful time.Bryan, the host, was informative and responsive as we made our plans. I definitely recommend Blue Heron. I don’t think you will be disappointed!Bill & Bill

Great family getaway

This house exceeded expectations. The listing looked great online but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived by the recent updates. The house is directly on the beach which felt like our own private beach. All amenities were provided and then some! The check in process was super easy and the owners were very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Breathtaking Views from the entire house!

It was absolutely lovely! The house was wonderful with breathtaking views from Living Area, Kitchen, Bedrooms - even the master bath - perfect design to enjoy the beautiful location. November proved to be perfect time to visit as far as the weather. The house was stocked with everything we needed; I could have packed much lighter, but I'll know for the next time. The Property manager/owner was very responsive to any request. It was our 25th wedding anniversary,and we're thinking it needs to be an annual visit - we loved it!

Perfect family vacation home

We had a wonderful family vacation weekend at Blue Heron Hideaway. The house was immaculate, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed…including kid friendly dishes. The house was stocked with plenty of paper goods, trash bags, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, so we never had to run to the store for things that weren’t supplied. The deck and the view are amazing! When we weren’t wandering the beach, we spent hours on the deck, enjoying the sunrise and sunset and listening to the waves and enjoying the breeze after dark. The owner was very welcoming. We can’t wait to go back. We were hoping to stay here again for Thanksgiving, but it was already booked. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Family Vacation

The host is incredibly helpful and giving communication prior to the stay during the day and follow through. Our family had a wonderful time with lots of memories. The location is fantastic. You feel like you have your own private beach. The views are amazing and the locals were so friendly!

Beautiful Deck!!!

Overall a great stay! Had a stay with 5 adult family members. Deck is an A+. Kitchen and the rest of the home is well stocked and clean! . Kitchen could use up dating. Frig is sidebyside if that is important to you vs another style. Overall, I would stay here again if I was coming to stay in Galveston. I would suggest cutting back on the scented laundry detergent for sheets and towels because it can be overwhelming.

Great house!

We had an awesome quick weekend stay at the house. The directions ahead of time made getting in easy peasy. The house had everything we needed and was well stocked. The balcony/porch is amazing. It has shade in the afternoon and a perfect breeze all day. The kids could run and play all over safely, and the adults got to take in the awesome sights and sounds of the beach. The entrance to the beach though the dunes was easy. The mosquitoes were much thicker than we anticipated, but the house had bug spray which was a nice touch. Our only minor issues (for full transparency) were that there was animal hair on a lot of the furniture. Also the grill was in pretty bad shape, so we ended up cooking inside. All of that being said, we would come back again!

Outstanding experience

We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach home! And a home it definitely is from all the minute decorating details to all the extra amenities. It was an awesome place to spend a relaxing vacation. The location is perfect -- close to Galveston and all its activities but on the beach in Sea Isle with its quiet beauty. We spent many hours just sitting on the deck and enjoying the ocean view or taking walks on the beach with our dog. Eating breakfast on the deck became a morning ritual. The hosts were also very nice and responsive to any questions. We would definitely recommend staying at the Blue Heron Hideaway, and we hope to do so again soon!

Great getaway

We wanted a short (4 days) vacation in May before all the summer crowds showed up. We spent our time relaxing on the deck and watching and listening to the waves. This was a great choice for us. We cooked all of our meals in, except we did visit Gaido’s one evening. We will be back!
