A Salty Air Retreat just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico

Come enjoy our newly constructed Salty Air Retreat featuring 2 bedrooms with 1 1/2 baths in the historical east end of Galveston. Just a leisurely 60 second walk to feel sand between your toes in Galveston’s beautiful beaches. You can watch a spectacular sunrise from our deck while the waves wash ashore, or enjoy seeing the evening moon rise. Our location is perfect for dining at one of the nearby restaurants that are in walking distance, or just taking a relaxing stroll on the beach.

Our brand new beach house features granite countertops, brand new stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, a microwave, a 50 inch 4K smart tv with WiFi, a beautiful oversized shower (no tub), and a full-size washer and dryer. For your enjoyment, there is a large deck for you to enjoy your morning coffee brewed in a Keurig coffee maker. We also have beachchairs, beach towels, a small cooler, beach toys, and a pop up canopy to use on your beach outings, which can be conveniently transported with a wagon that we provide. Our house is on a corner lot which provides ample parking, with an outdoor shower for your convenience.

Let yourself in using our keyless entry lock system. Because we live in Galveston, we are only a text away. Please feel free to ask any questions or voice any concerns you may have. We will normally respond within the hour.

We have some amazing restaurants within walking distance. Our home is conveniently located to attractions like the Strand (1.5 mi) and the Pleasure Pier (1.2 mi). We are a block from the beach! Come enjoy our tropical paradise from this beautiful, comfortable, conveniently located home !!!

There are several rental shops nearby. You can rent bikes or golf carts for your enjoyment. There is also a trolley that stops about 3 blocks from our house that will take you just about anywhere on the island you would like to go.

We were able to check in before schedule and the communication was great. They sent all of the information needed, so there were no questions. The location is great, you can sit on the balcony and look out at the water while listening to music. The beach is walking distance and there is food that is walking distance as well. The home layout is great and the decor is perfect. Cleanliness is top notch, I didn't even find a spiderweb in the corners or windows, clean. There were games and all the small extra touches made us feel very much at home (everything was labeled from cabinets, remotes, to light switches to know what is where and what works what). There were little snacks and waters, extra toiletries to use for a night or 2 (soap, shampoo, q tips, body wash, etc), beach towels, plenty of towels, and more. The bed clothes smelled freshly washed and the bed was comfortable. I will be staying here again. The sunset was amazing from the balcony.

Great stay, great neighborhood

This is a super cute property and perfect for the two of us! Right off the Seawall and easy access to Stewart Beach! The bedrooms are downstairs and the living area and kitchen are upstairs but that wasn’t an issue for us.

Great Location with Super Attentive Hosts

The house was perfect for our family of four. We came to Galveston to hang out with family at Poretto Beach and were pleasantly surprised at how close it was. We enjoyed being able to see the beach while relaxing in the living room. Kevin and his wife were super hospitable, extremely attentive, and went above and beyond.

Mardis Gras Girls night out

I think this house was one of the best rental properties I've stayed at. Everything was just as listed. The view was even more amazing than the photos. They thought of everything you might need while on vacation. I highly recommend this house. The service by the owner was outstanding as well. The house was close to restaurants, shopping and the Strand. We enjoyed our time there and can't wait to go back.

My favorite home away from home

Salty Air Retreat is a lovely home with the nicest hosts and the absolute best possible location in Galveston. You can see the beach from the balcony and upper windows, and walk to it in about 5 minutes (probably faster if you’re under 40 LOL). You can drive to nearly any restaurant or entertainment center on the island in 10 or 20 minutes but you’re far enough from the crowded areas to have peaceful evenings at home (if you want them) and undisturbed sleep. The amenities include a full kitchen and a washer/dryer so you have flexibility and convenience for long stays or big groups. The house is comfortably furnished and attractively decorated but not crowded or kitschy. I have stayed here several times and loved it every single time!
