Cabin Retreat at NoccalulaFalls

Cozy cabin, across the street from the Black Creek Trail System for hiking & biking. Centrally located to the I-59 interstate, downtown Gadsden AL, and just 2 blocks from Noccalula Falls Park. A great getaway but still convenient to attractions and shopping.

This is not a child proof home for little ones. They will need to be well supervised. This is a rustic cabin, with decorations, lamps, and little things to steps, and uneven rocks. You will love the home even if you have little ones. I just prefer to let you know in advance.

For Fishermen:
We may not have enough room for your boat at the cabin. We have been able to accommodate 1 boat, not multiples at the parking area there. However, we have plenty of room at our house, further off the road than the cabin. You’re more than welcome to keep it up here. It will be closer to power, further from the road, and on more level ground. Easier access to hook up to if you take it loose from the truck. We will be as accommodating as possible. Like I said, we have a big yard and you’re welcome to park anywhere in it that looks good to you.

Family time

This place was perfect for our family to spend time together. The fire pit was a huge hit - kids loved looking for bugs under the stones surrounding it and adults got to catch up while they were busy with that. The front porch was sweet with rocking chairs and the porch swing. It was a great place to enjoy the quiet setting and watch the deer. The living room was so cozy with the fire going. We really had a great time at this house. Thanks so much.

I apologize.

My friend and I spent a lovely peaceful weekend here. I brought my two small potty-trained dogs with me. Unfortunately, there was a thunderstorm on Saturday night that badly scared my dogs. I had put down extra pads just in case, but sorry to say, they soiled one of the rugs and chewed on a pillowcase. I didn't notice either of these things before I left. I was mortified when Zinta sent me the photos. I accepted full responsibility and offered full compensation. This did fix the damage, but I realize that Zinta still had the aggravation of taking care of all this. I am so sorry I caused her the extra work. After saying that, I would highly recommend Cabin Retreat. It is lovely!!! You will have a great time.

Felt like home

The cabin is so quaint & cozy, it felt like home. It is tastefully decorated with various “out in the woods” pictures, sayings, & old time farming & hunting items. The beds were very comfy & the quilts were lightweight, but warm. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils as well as dinner ware. The window & wall AC units & ceiling fans kept the cabin nice & cool despite the heat & humidity of early July . The screened porch with the porch swing & “Cracker Barrel” style rockers provided a peaceful setting. It was so relaxing when the afternoon rain showers came through & cooled the air. I loved the wood floors with the braided rugs. I will have to say, this is the nicest VRBO home we have ever rented. The owner was very responsive when called about the smoke alarm needing a new battery. The tall pines provided lots of shade. It was fun to watch the guinea & the woodchuck parade around the well landscaped property. It was a great time to visit friends who stayed with us in such a comfortable home. A very rewarding mini vacation. You will not regret staying here.

Great Cozy Location

The description of the property is spot on. Nothing fancy, but a nice cozy, rustic cottage in a secluded, quiet, and safe neighborhood convenient to Gadsden and Neely Henry Lake. Kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean and tidy. Especially impressed that the rental had laundry detergent provided, a must for sweaty clothes after spending all day in the sun fishing on the lake. Screened porch was great and would've been utilized had it been cooler temperatures, although departure morning it was crisp and a great time sipping coffee was had. What impressed me most about this rental is the responsiveness of the owner when asking questions or suggestions. Highly recommend this property. In town recommend The Back Forty Brewery and The Rail Public House.

Perfect place to stay!

This cabin was perfect for us and exceeded our expectations! We came to the area to go hiking - and it was perfectly situated for that from the short walk into the Noccalula Falls trail system to the several state parks just over an hour away. Our dog loved the ability to join us on vacation - and appreciated the fenced in back yard as well! The screen porch was a haven to rest in. The kitchen was very well supplied for anything I wanted. ZINTA was very available for any questions or requests. We would happily stay again!

The Cabin is a relaxing getaway in a quiet neighborhood, but easy access to main road. The Cabin was very clean and well equipped. The backyard is spacious and fully fenced if you bring a furry friend!

We loved our stay at the cabin. All of the amenities made us feel at home and we especially enjoyed the cozy gas fire on the cooler evenings. Close to restaurants and town but quiet and private. We'll be back 😊

Cozy Cabin near the falls

Great location next to Noccalula Falls. Was able to walk across the street and down 100 feet to access the hiking trails. The cabin has everything you could possibly need for your stay. I especially appreciated all the throws and extra blankets to cover couches so Zoey and I could snuggle up with no “fur on the couch” guilt.

Quaint retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The first night we had a hard time with the a.c. in the master bedroom, but eventually we got it to work. It was clean and had lots of "homey" items (coffee, creamer, air freshener, etc...). The location was good - only a 3 min. drive to the park. We enjoyed coffee on the screened porch.

Perfect accommodations

This home was better than the description. We have stayed in many homes and this one was by far the most accommodating. We had everything that we needed. I was so surprised with all of the conveniences that the home had. The host is very responsive. It was snuggled in the woods. The weather kept us from enjoying the property but we loved sitting on the porch and absorbing nature. It was great to be able to bring our furbaby with us. We had absolutely no issues and couldn't be happier with our decision to stay at this location.

Daughter’s Wedding

The house is huge! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space or everyone to be together. Outside also great area for dogs & kids to play & adults to relax on porch. Property owners were so nice & accommodating. So many extras to make it home away from home but also feel like you are on vacation. Beautiful area, quiet & relaxing. Would love to go back for a relaxing vacation.

Perfect for visiting the falls

We stayed at this cabin for my sons mountain biking race weekend. It was very close to the park, Jacks, and other businesses but still felt private. The cabin was vey clean and well equipped with anything you might need. All of the furniture and linens were comfortable and cozy.. My family especially enjoyed the fire pit, massage chair, and honey made on property. The owner was very friendly and responsive. Thanks for a great weekend!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!

We had a family emergency and had to travel to AL on such short notice and finding somewhere to stay that has 2 bedrooms was almost impossible and then we found this cute little cabin! It was so clean and cozy!! We loved it and will definitely be back!! The hosts went above and beyond to help us get checked in on such short notice! We cannot wait to come back again!! I would highly recommend staying here!!!
