Located in a residential area, close to a very wide range of amenities and only 1.5 Km from Funchal centre, , this very spacious one-bedroom apartment offers comfort and convenience. Within walking distance of all essential services including supermarkets, restaurants, bars, bank and pharmacy (and to two of the best known café bakeries of Funchal) it is the ideal base from which to explore and experience both the cosmopolitan topwn of Funchal and the beautiful nature and mnountains of Madeira..
Step into a bright and spacious living and dining area that offers seating for 4 and includes a sofa-bed, (prepared only when there are 3 or more guests on the booking), that opens onto a front veranda – perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the island. Whether working remotely or simply need to catch up on work, a dedicated desk area is ready for you. To the left, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry provides everything you need to prepare your own meals. The cozy bedroom features a double bed (1.40x2.00 meters), built-in wardrobes, and direct access to the front balcony. The bathroom includes a bathtub with overhead shower, washbasin, and toilet.
A short 2 minutes’ walk will lead you to a renowned bakery and patisserie where you can pick up fresh bread or start your day with a delicious and varied breakfast. Close by is a large branded supermarket, various other cafĂ©s and bakeries, restaurants, a bank and a pharmacy.
Public transport is plentiful and regular; taxis and bolts are easily available, and the town centre is only 1,5 Km away.
Access to the motorway, which provides easy access to the whole island and mountains, is less than 1 Km away.

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.

Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 2-person occupancy and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
A security deposit of 150€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities. This applies to all visitors to Madeira aged 13 or over, and costs 2€ per person per day up to a maximum of 14€ per person. Your accommodation is legally responsible for collecting these amounts and paying them on your behalf to the applicable municipality. The Municipality Tourist Tax will be collected via credit card on the online check-in procedure.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival and after you have paid your balance. Madalena Uptown is a self-check-in apartment, and guests will need to pick up the keys from a key-box.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
