Our experience renting this home was overall a poor experience. The nicest thing I can say is location: close to beach and store, nice neighborhood. Regular resident that lives around corner âspiesâ and takes pics of car/license plate. Overall clean however there was a dead cockroach in en-suite bath and rodent droppings on lanai. Kitchen is well stocked and a few games available. Only 3 beach towels. Listing included furnished basement which was not available/finished. Also home is listed as remodeled but both patio doors are very old and difficult to open/lock, windows missing casing, overall poor construction. Master en-suite shower has minimal h20 pressure and couldnât rinse shampoo out. Pool was full of sand on arrival, could not use for first 3 days (pool is very nice when clean) and air conditioner went out 1 day. We had to contact management co 3 times to get the air conditioner repaired (turned out only needed new battery which was very frustrating due to canceling plans to wait for repair services). Management company is responsive to address needs but you need a manager (Kathy) to get anything accomplished and she does not return calls despite verbal promises. I finally gave up trying to reach Kathy until I returned home. I was able to talk to her once and she never returned my call again. The beach is still so beautiful and relaxing despite the ongoing construction. I love Fort Myers (we rent 1-2 times per year). I did not love this home or Sun Palace management.
