We have created this house rules sheet to preserve the integrity of your stay and future stays while also respecting the home and neighborhood! Following these rules will greatly help us as Vacation Rental hosts by making sure the home is taken care of during your stay. We understand that people are not a âone size fits allâ category, so please reach out to us with any questions or concerns in this document. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!!
Mi casa, tu casa! But you wouldnât intentionally damage or mess up your home, would you? We ask that you treat our property as if it was your very own as well! Please be aware of the condition of items in the house, and if you happen to notice anything broken when you arrive, please contact us to let us know.
We also ask that you please watch noise levels at night. We love our neighbors! Theyâre nice, weâre nice to them, and we hope you are nice to them too! Noise ordinances for quiet time in the city/neighborhood are at 10pm, so please respect these rules.
Check-in
Check-in time is from 4:00pm -12:00am. If you have a late/delayed flight, please let us know as soon as possible and we will be happy to work with you. Early check-ins are available upon request, however please understand that we cannot make any guarantees until the day of or before. If you are interested in an early check in, please reach out to us and we will let you know what the additional cost would be.
Check-out
Check-out time is 11am. Late checkouts are based on availability and an additional fee of $150/per hour. Unless otherwise authorized by us, please give us a 24-hour notice for late checkout requests or if you would like to extend your stay with us. Please keep in mind that we will try our best to accommodate these requests however we cannot make any guarantees that we will be able to honor your request. Any guest who stays after the 11am checkout time without requesting it from us previously or stays despite having their request denied will be charged an additional nightâs stay and will be forced to vacate. Should we experience any cancellations or losses in our calendar arising from any check out related complications from you or any guests, you will be charged for the next booking. Prior to leaving please place a load of regular towels and beach towels to wash. This will help our cleaners get a heads start for our next guest.
*Upon checking out, please make sure that our house looks reasonably neat- just like the way you found it. Although we pride ourselves on cleanliness, we do not expect you to scrub it clean but it must be reasonably âpicked upâ and furniture placed as it was at check-in.
*Make sure to collect all personal belongings. Check all closets, drawers, washer/ dryer. We are not responsible for any items left behind.
Security
When you leave the property and at night, please make sure all doors are locked and secured. Even though our home is in a safe neighborhood, we take the safety of our guests very seriously. Our security protocol includes 3 outdoor camera devices. The cameras are located in the following common areas: the entryway by the front door, backyard and side of the house. Please note: These devices are not meant to micro-manage our guests. We do not have time to monitor or watch your every move. It is solely there to monitor any suspicious activity that will trip the alarms and cause us concern. In which case, we will check on the safety of our guests immediately.
Deposit
A security deposit may be required to reserve the home, depending on a few various factors. Please reach out to us prior to booking to find out if we will require one for your stay. The deposit is held to prevent damages/inconveniences from occurring. The deposit will be refunded in the same manner paid provided the following provisions are met:
*No damage is done to the unit or its contents
*No excessive cleaning is required
*No linens are missing, damaged, or excessively stained
*The Occupancy limit of the house is not exceeded at any time
*There are no police enforcement actions by the City or Homeowners /and there are no violations of house rules as posted in the house.
Any types of damages or inconveniences that occur like the ones listed above will be subject to additional fees.
Items Available Upon Request
The following items may be available upon request but are not guaranteed and must be requested within at least 48 hours in advance: mosquito net, boardgames, children`s dinnerware, highchair, outlet covers, pack-n-play, table corners, window guards, bread maker, luggage drop off. Additional charges for certain items may apply.
Identification Required
Must be 25 and up to rent. For security purposes, please upload a copy of your photo ID within 72 hours of booking (if booking in advance) or prior to entering the premises if you have a reservation starting soon to the AIRBNB chat. Please note if this is not provided we reserve the right to cancel the reservation with no refund.
Locals Booking With Us
If youâre a local or were a local, this information needs to be disclosed to us. Failure to do so can lead to us canceling your reservation without a refund.
Parking
Our driveway will allow for 3 vehicles parked outside.. Please DO NOT PARK on the grass, street, or on any neighborâs property. We will not be responsible for any parking tickets, parking boots, or towed vehicles.
Pets
YES! We have finally decided to allow pets into our home. There will be a $20 flat fee per night rate for 1 pet and a $30 flat fee per night rate for 2 pets. We do not have a weight restriction or type of pet restriction. Maximum of 2 pets per stay. Should you bring more than 2 please reach out as depending on the situation we may be able to accommodate you. Please ensure that you are following all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to your pets.
Please ensure that you clean up after your furry family members. We will apply an excessive cleaning fee to unreasonably dirty homes. We do have a designated `Potty Area` for your pets in the backyard patio. However, it is YOUR responsibility to pick up after your pets. We want all of our guests to enjoy our patio without stepping on any unwanted surprises.
Please ensure that your pets are never left unattended outside even if the gate is locked. Please ensure that your pets are not creating a noise disturbance during your stay. If we receive more than 3 complaints, it may result in the termination of your reservation without a refund.
Pets may NOT be on our beds, towels, bedding, sofas, or carpeted areas. An excessive cleaning fee will be applied if pet hair is found in these areas. Our cleaners charge us for this and so the fees will be passed along to you.
Please make sure all PET FEES are paid PRIOR to your arrival or the entry code will not be given until it has been completed.
Guest Interaction
We love to meet and greet all guests when possible. However, in todayâs world, we understand that most people would rather skip the pleasantries. Because of this, we offer self-check-in with a door code. Please keep in mind that we have the right to ask for ID, the credit card used for booking, or other forms of proof of identity and payment. We may also ask guests to present an ID. As long as your guests can confirm trip details, they too can reach out to us with any questions and concerns.

All areas of the property are for guest use unless the garage and the doors where is a lock on it. Please do not tamper with any locks on the property unless we give our permission. All monitoring devices are not to be tampered with. This includes our cameras, noise detection devices, any previous plugged in devices that may be set with a timer for automation purposes, gateway plug-ins, and any of our locked storages/cabinets. Any violation of the above rules can result in immediate termination of your stay.
Maximum Occupancy
The maximum number of guests is 8.
Unauthorized Guests
Absolutely no added guests allowed. This means no extra friends and family can come over! None! This is per the city ordinance of the City of Lighthouse Point. All overnight guests must be listed with the booking. Any unauthorized guests will result in a direct violation of our house rules, and we reserve the right to cancel the stay immediately without any refunds.
Parties & Events
While we are all about having a good time, WE STRICTLY PROHIBIT ANY PARTIES OR EVENTS. This is to preserve the quiet neighborhood weâre in. Music must be kept to a non-disturbing level during quiet hours and any conversations should be had inside the house, not near the street, front entrance, or even the patio/balcony areas. Please be mindful of the city-wide quiet hours from 10pm-8am and make sure that extra guests leave by 12am.
