This amazing, raised oceanview home is right across the street from the beach and close to just about everything Folly Beach has to offer! First thing's first: drink your morning coffee on the front porch while taking in the ocean views then use the full kitchen to make a quick and easy breakfast for everyone to enjoy at the breakfast bar or large dining room table. Next, pack some lunches because it's going to be a full day of sun and sand down at the beach. Later, use the free WiFi to plan out tomorrow's adventure then let someone else cook up a seafood dinner on the gas grill while you relax for the rest of the evening out on the porch; you've earned it!





What’s Nearby:

The Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve is just under three miles away with lots of great nature to explore. A small donation will let you bike or walk through the preserve to enjoy views of the Morris Island Lighthouse. Head to downtown Folly for shopping, restaurants, and equipment rentals for surfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Did someone say surfing? You can get lessons at Shaka Surf School or Sol Surfers Surf Camp, LLC, both totally within walking distance.

The gals and I had the best time here- beautiful house with tall ceilings, updated kitchen, huge bathrooms, so much seating, and ocean views!! We would book here again in a heart beat- there was 7 of us and we had more than enough space. Thanks for a great weekend!

Great Time at Folly Beach!

Stayed here with my groomsmen and cannot recommend this place enough. Great location on Folly Beach. There’s a beach access point right near the house and all the bars/restaurants are only about a 15-20 minute walk. Have to be careful because there’s no sidewalks, but not many cars on the road. There’s a park nearby with basketball and pickleball courts that we utilized. House was awesome and spacious. Plenty of room for all of us the beds are very comfortable. Loved the setup of the house itself and we spent a lot of time taking advantage of the balcony facing the beach, as well as the sound system, grill, and space beneath the house. There’s some rust on locks and the automatic lock at the front door can be finicky sometimes. The listing states that only 4 vehicles are allowed so logistics were somewhat of an issue because we had several individual guests coming from out of state who weren’t able to carpool with others, but we made it work. The house did have somewhat of a smell we all noticed when we walked in which we eventually got used to, but may have been coming from the vents. Unfortunately my bag and clothes still had a residual smell when I got home. Overall, we could not have asked for a better stay during our time in Charleston/Folly Beach, but just wanted to mention a couple of things that could be improved for future guests!

Perfect house

We loved our stay at this house. Lots of space in each room. Shower/toilet rooms are tight and are really the only sign this is an older house as it has been updated and refreshed. Still a few things that need attention, a door handle, some window blind rods, but these are very very minor things. Location is a very easy / short walk to the 9th street beach access, and there is a view of the ocean since there is not a house across the street from it. Beach chairs are available in the downstairs storage space, which was handy when we rented surf boards. Well supplied kitchen. Some small soap samples provided but bring your own shower soap, hand soap, dish soap, etc. plus your own paper towels, and toilet paper (they had a starter supply). Nice yard space, and in a very quiet section of the island. We would definitely return to this house and look forward to it.

Mediocre stay

LaiDDback's location was awesome! Very close walk to the beach and on a quieter end of the island, away fm the craziness of restaurants, spring breakers. The lock system was easy to use. The porches were great! However, they need some lounge or adirondack chairs on back deck, facing the yard, for relaxing on days when too windy on beach-facing porch. The cooking utensils and pots/casserole dishes were not clean. They needed washing before use, as did the blankets. No organization to the cabinets/drawers w/ cooking supplies. Things were scattered and stashed everywhere. So, it was difficult to know whether there were measuring glasses, mixing bowls, etc, without leaving every single cabinet open or emptied. The bathrooms need Clorox cleanup. A simple spray of the mildew would remedy those problem areas while other parts of the house were being cleaned between guests. The biggest issue was the SMELL inside the house. We are unsure what it is, but it hit you as soon as you walked in the door, each and every time. And when we checked out, all of our clothes, bags, etc smelled like that odor. Nothing helped - candles, room spray, white vinegar, open doors/air flow. That made it significantly disappointing. We are long time VRBO renters. And I take some reviews with a grain of salt, as some people are just fussy and hard to please. We respect the properties we rent like they're our own, but also appreciate that the places we rent are of good quality and cleanliness.

The Fam!

My husband and I took my daughter, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and sister-in-law for a short stay at Folly Beach.(3/24 - 3/28). We had a wonderful time. Our house was across the street from the beach, but we still had great views from the screened in porch. Everyone had a fun, relaxing time. One of the best things about our location: we were close to Bert’s, the island’s best grocery store, and downtown Folly Beach. We’d definitely stay here again.

Nice beach house

Gorgeous, spacious beach house just steps from the beach. We loved our time there. House very clean! Upon leaving I would have given a 5 star review however once getting home all of our belongings smelled of smoke- even our make up brushes. There was a hint of smoke when you first walked in but we didn’t notice it much while there. However weeks later I am still trying to get this smell out of my belongings :( other than that it was a beautiful stay.

Great house and location but the construction across the street was AWFUL

Excellent house layout for two families and beach access is right across the street. However, right now there are two new homes being framed across the street so our whole house was shaking from the pile driver and we were woken up at 730 am every morning to the sound of construction. We were there for 5 days and could only enjoy the deck and "ocean view" at night when the construction workers went home. HUGE disappointment. I tried to contact the prop manager about this issue and no one ever answered. The beds are very comfortable and the furniture in the home is nice. They do need more cups/glasses and coffee mugs for a home that sleeps 10 people. They also need to go through and replace batteries in the smoke detectors because one started beeping at 2 am because the battery died and we had to find a ladder and get up to the 14' vaulted ceiling where it was located to remove it ourselves (again, we couldn't get anything done through the prop manager.. Which BTW, you book initially through VRBO and then you get an email from the third party manager saying you will make the final payment through them....I found this really weird as we have stayed in dozens of short term rentals and never had this happen.) We absolutely LOVED Folly Beach, however, and will definitely be going back again someday! Maybe by then the house will be managed by someone else and the construction will be complete (but there will no longer be an ocean view)!

Nice place but over priced

House has a musty basement smell which you do become nose blind too within a couple days. Some of the sheets/bedding were stained upon arrival and we needed to strip/remake the beds first night. Good location/deck and house DOES come equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, etc despite Vacasa telling me it didn’t prior to my arrival. No beach towels so bring your own

Property management company was great. Communicated daily with simple text message to make sure all was well. Actually replaced non-working grill within a matter of hours. Location is great with nice view and just a quick trek across the street to beach. Very quiet and relaxing but close enough to the beach shops. Also only 20 min from historic Charleston. Can’t lose

Beautiful relaxing beach home

We had a wonderful stay at the beach home. We have been to Folly many times, but this was our first house that we rented away from Center Street. It was so quiet and peaceful. There was a nice view of the ocean from the front porch. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen. The walk to the beach was short and easy. We also enjoyed using the grill and space under the house. It was our best trip to Folly yet. We hope to go back again!

Great house, super clean. Updated home with nice finishes. Beach is a 30 second walk away. You will spend all your time on the front porch looking directly at the water since the lot in front of you is empty. Would stay again.

Girl's trip

I stayed at this lovely house with 4 of my closest girl friends and it was absolutely beautiful! we had a perfect view of the sunrise while we drank our coffee on the front porch and we walked miles around folly beach all weekend. Very great location just close enough to Charleston but such a quiet little spot!

Kitchen was not equipped well. Pans were in terrible condition. Drinking glasses were sketchy. House had a weird smell and all of our clothes needed to be washed once we got home (even the clean clothes). Cushions on couch were falling apart. Property was not up to my standards at all. I would not stay at this location again.

Perfect for a quick getaway

This house was perfect for our quick weekend getaway! It rained and was freezing all weekend, but that didn't stop us from having a great time and relaxing! The openness of the house is great for the kids, the rooms on the opposite sides of the house is awesome for separate families. Lovely quiet Christmas

This is a beautiful home with all you need to prepare your own meals and have easy access to the beach. The front porch has fantastic ocean views. The walk to the beach is very short, jog down the street about 3 houses for the cut-through. The walk to restaurants and the grocery store is about 15 minutes. There are bathrooms on each side of the home between two bedrooms, double vanity, bath and toilet behind another door. Perfect for two families or our family just enjoyed spreading out. All the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Dining table seats six with another five stools at the island. Picnic table outside.

Nice long weekend

We planned our trip to Folly to give us something to do on the days we weren't in Charleston. The location was good, not too far from Charleston and far away from the center of Folly to avoid the noise and wild evenings. The house is right across from the beach which was great! The house is adorable; the decor and how it's setup inside, everything about it we all loved. It would have been nice if there were a set of steps from the back porch which is really the main porch; that's where you are asked to park and pull in, and thats the porch that has the view of the ocean. There was a strong smell of something in the house, that we ended up getting used to until we arrived home; we had to wash everything again to get the smell off our stuff (it almost smelled like stale cigarettes once we got home, but smelled like a pesticide while at the house). We provided the small issues to the management company regarding the smell, the filters, a shower curtain in one bathroom, and the stove knobs not working correctly. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the house and our stay - if we returned to Folly, I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Bachelorette House

We had a great time on my bachelorette at this property. It is an amazing location- right across from the beach with access so close you might as well be on the beach. Not too far from downtown folley. Beautiful, clean accommodations with plenty of space. Only down-side was the check in process and not being able to know about early check in until the day of.
