À quelques pas du Ponte Vecchio, du cĂŽtĂ© «Oltrarno» du centre historique de Florence, cette charmante et Ă©lĂ©gante maison offre tout le confort du monde moderne combinĂ© Ă  la riche histoire du XVe siĂšcle.

Cette maison était le «Forni Reali» ou boulangerie royale servant les Médicis et plus tard la famille royale italienne lorsqu'ils occupaient le Palazzo Pitti. Il comprend 130 mÚtres carrés (environ 1399 pieds carrés) et dispose de 3 chambres, chacune avec salle de bain privée, d'un grand salon et d'une cuisine moderne entiÚrement équipée, d'un petit bureau et d'une demi-salle de bain supplémentaire. L'appartement peut accueillir 6-8 personnes et s'enroule autour d'un joli jardin dans la cour orné de fleurs, d'une fontaine et d'un poisson rouge. Décoré à la fois pour le confort et le charme, la maison contient un mélange éclectique d'antiquités et de meubles modernes.

L'appartement a sa propre entrĂ©e sĂ©parĂ©e au rez-de-chaussĂ©e, Ă  seulement un Ă©tage de la rue, et est Ă©quipĂ© de toutes les commoditĂ©s nĂ©cessaires, y compris le chauffage central et la climatisation, le satellite t. v. et lecteur DVD / magnĂ©toscope, connexion Internet, lave-vaisselle, rĂ©frigĂ©rateur pleine grandeur et machine Ă  laver. Beautiful, historic Vrbo steps from a very busy plaza, amazing gelato, a coffee shop and both sit down and take away restaurants. Short walk to many of Florence’s highlights. Gentiana made us feel welcome upon arrival. Communication with both the owner and Gentiana was top notch. Property layout worked well for us: our family ranged from 18-88yr olds and we each got our own space and a wonderful living room area to gather and relax when we weren’t out exploring. Highly recommend for the ambiance and location. Third bedroom/bath is separated by a small enclosed courtyard, so if you have children 10 that you plan to have own room, you just need to consider that. It was perfect for our teen. We were there to visit our daughter studying abroad and fell in love with this beautiful city. If you visit, be prepared for crowds & we suggest staying more than a few days to soak in all the culture, food, art and of course shopping!

This property was very clean with the exception of mold on the wall in two bedrooms. When we saw this, it was a little upsetting and my one person in our party actually called VRBO to complain. But the property manager was great and took care of the problem with bleach. The property couldn't have been better located. It was near all of the important sights and also close to many restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, but we never used it in the short time that we were there. We felt that the [pictures on line looked a lot nicer than the actual property which could use a some redecorating. Also the description doesn't tell you that one of the bedrooms is outside facing the courtyard of the main house which could be a problem for young children.

My family of six could not have enjoyed our stay in Florence more. The garden house’s location was absolutely perfect to walk & experience the city and felt extremely authentic. It all felt very ‘local’ and inviting. It is a lively spot and people were sipping espresso and enjoying cocktails right outside our door well into the evening but there was no street noise from the bedrooms. We took advantage of their car service from Florence airport which was very efficient well worth the expense. I would go back tomorrow and stay a month if I could!

We stayed in this Florence apartment for the entire month of January 2026, and it truly became our home away from home.If you’re looking for a sleek, ultra-modern renovation, this is not that—and that is exactly why we loved it. The apartment is full of authentic Florentine character, charm, and warmth, while still being very comfortable for a long stay. It felt like a real home, not a temporary rental.The space was ideal for daily living and hosting friends and family who visited throughout the month. We cooked often, shared meals and wine, did laundry, and genuinely settled into life here.The location could not have been better. We’ve visited Florence many times and stayed in other areas, but living in the Oltrarno showed us what we had been missing. The neighborhood feels local and less touristy, yet everything is walkable, including the train station.The piazza is a gem, with a great local bar next door, excellent restaurants and pizza across the square, one of the best gelato spots in Florence nearby, and our favorite coffee just around the corner.Genta was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She coordinated drivers and even helped recover delayed luggage using an AirTag, truly going above and beyond.When we return to Florence, we will stay here again. This apartment let us experience living in Florence, not just visiting it. Highly recommended.

The location of the garden house was amazing! It's just off a piazza that is a local hangout and the gelateria was the best in the Oltarano. It was lively and fun. The street noise in the living room was loud sometimes, which added to the fun local feel, and the bedrooms were always quiet and peaceful. The heat in the back bedroom didn't work but the property manager provided a space heater. The blankets were cozy so the space heater was only turned on in the morning before getting out of bed.

When you are looking for great VRBO places, location is everything. And this place is fantastic. Just a short walk to the Ponte Vicchio. But awayfrom the hustle and bustle of the newer part of the city.Plus right next door to a must do Schiaccia Passera (for an amazing sandwich) and Gelateria della Passera for dessert. Lots of things in the kitchen if you want to cook, but you're in Firenze - so take advantage of all the great cooks and use the fridge for leftovers (if you have any).Room layout is a little quirky. With access to one of the bedrooms through the open courtyard. The other has access through both another bedroom or the courtyard. But all bedrooms have their own bath plus there is a partial bath in the public area.Owner and their agent were very responsive.

The apartment was a perfect home base for visiting Florence - in the heart of the Oltrarno neighborhood with plenty of space for traveling friends or family. The neighborhood is busy, but the apartment is an oasis! The property manager (Gentiana) was very helpful -- and full of suggestions and ideas for making the most of our stay in Florence. I would rent this lovely, rustic space again and again!

The apartment is IDEALLY located! The manager was very responsive and solicitous of our needs. The somewhat quirky layout is attributable to the building’s former commercial use, but because the bedrooms are at the rear, it works perfectly and is quiet for sleeping. All in all, a great choice for families or friends (like us) traveling together.
