It is located in a historical area of Florence. Duomo is about .4 miles away and 7-8 minute walk. Very safe except for the sirens of the policia which I would rather have over quiet crimes. The beds were so comfortable and doesnât move when you toss and turn. Water in the fridge was so affordable in case you need to use their supply compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Hosts Guilia and Fabio are so kind and very attentive. We left early when we checked out and Guilia made sure we get our morning treats the night before ao we donât need to look for food for breakfast and waste our time falling in line at restaurants. My sister Gigi and I were so happy to have stayed in this quaint hotel.
Location & property sets the tone for oneâs impression of a city/town it truly made us dislike visiting Florence our 1st time. Itâs in an ugly part of Florence and bldg is dilapidated good for YOUNG BACKPACKERS. In fact young drunks staying there wouldnât let us sleep. I informed employee next morning at check-out she said no wonder she found guest rooms wide open and passed out. Poor communication of check-in & check-out procedures given. I didnât even know there was a check-in counter upstairs-poor signage very hidden. Poor lighting very DARK Hallways and creepy. Room had a breakfast menu sign but no instructions how to place order. Also pic made it seem like room had a balcony but it doesnât. Itâs actually upstairs down the dark hallway more like a fire escape w/sm table & chairs very hidden. This was our worst stay in our 2 wk tour around Italy would nvr go back to Florence.
We decided to stay away from the main City Centre as Florence is very busy.
The accommodation is about 20 mins walk from the Center.
Entry to the property was by key code.
As the apartments / rooms were on the third floor having a lift (elevator) was very much appreciated.
Florence is mainly small narrow roads between the buildings therefore sound is amplified especially at night by people talking or vehicles and mopeds passing by.
We normally like to have a window open at night but had to close this otherwise this would disturb your sleep.
However the rooms have air conditioning, which is a must particularly when the weather is hot.
Rooms were clean and had everything we needed.
The staff were friendly polite and helpful.
I would recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again when we visit Florence again in the future as it's very good value for money.
