Santa Croce Historical Home is a a timeless retreat located in the very heart of Florence with front row views of Santa Croce square and the fascinating church. Nestled within a stunning 16th-century building, Palazzo Antellesi, this newly renovated five-bedroom residence combines old-world charm with state-of-the-art comforts. The apartment (300sqm in size), located on the second floor (with elevator), comfortably accommodates 10 guests in five elegant double suites, with the option for two additional guests on trundle beds in two of the bedrooms. Stepping inside feels like traveling back in time, as the residence is adorned with original wall frescoes, antique furnishings from the 18th and 19th centuries, and luxurious fabrics. Each of the five opulent bathrooms is a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship, featuring distinctive marble and premium fittings for ultimate comfort. The apartment boasts five luxury bedrooms, each of which has a beautiful en-suite bathroom to ensure utmost privacy and commodity. Each bedroom has been exquisitely interior designed and decorated with their own subtle themes and colour palette. Beautiful marble adorns each en suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

The bedrooms are the following:

Suite 1: Located on the front of the building and offering panoramic views out onto Piazza Santa Croce. The default set up will be one double bedroom but on request it can be prepared as 2 singles as this bedroom has 2 single mattresses (each mattress measures 90cm x 190cm).

Suite 2: Located in the middle with courtyard views. The default set up will be one double bedroom (mattress measures 180cm x 190cm). This room can sleep a 3rd person on a pull-out trundle bed measuring 80cm x 180cm.

Suite 3: Located in the middle with courtyard views. The default set up will be one double bedroom (mattress measures 180cm x 190cm).

Suite 4: Located at the back of the building with courtyard views. The default set up will be one double bedroom but on request it can be prepared as 2 singles as this bedroom has 2 single mattresses (each mattress measures 90cm x 200cm). This room can sleep a 3rd person on a pull-out trundle bed measuring 80cm x 180cm.

Suite 5: Located at the back of the building with courtyard views. The default set up will be one large french bed (mattress measures 150cm x 190cm).

General note about Florence:

Florence in recent years has seen a significant increase in second-home owners and foreign buyers purchasing apartments to list as rental properties. Many of these apartments are also in very poor condition—often dating back to the 1970s and 1980s—and these older styles are generally not suitable for modern short-term rentals without significant renovation. This ultimately means that renovations and construction work are ongoing throughout the city and owners carrying out said works are under no obligation to inform other residents in the building, nor to provide details on the duration of the works or when the noisiest phases will occur. Florence city council allows construction and building work to take place Monday-Sunday, 8am to 8pm. It is an ongoing challenge when construction work takes place in a building where we own a luxury apartment and we apologise in advance if this happens during your stay. We will continue to strive to do our utmost to assist our clients if renovation construction work is taking place in the building where you are staying but unfortunately we cannot promise to know about said work prior to your arrival for the reasons stated above.
