The Enchanted Cottage, a Rustic/Modern cabin built on a fairly steep slope under a canopy of towering hardwood trees w/ Waterview of Lake Palestine. We custom built w/ local woods: cypress, cedar, white & red oak, & pine. Look for the Bald Eagle on the porch. 0ur theme is interesting places out of classic films. On her first visit, my mother suggested the name from the Classic film-The Enchanted Cottage 1945.
Enchanted Cottage porch has the feel of a treehouse with a canopy of timber towering all around it. Great views for morning coffee & looking for bald eagles! The loft bedroom is built for romance with a king size bed & a high ceiling with fairy lights:) The Cabin is perfect for romantic getaways. What makes it unique is the compact luxury/roughness. Come see to understand. It is ideal for couples, but can accommodate a small family. It is a small space for more than 2 adults. D
Cable TV and ground internet are not available here in the woods. We have limited jetpack WiFI for use.

Trails to Lake Palestine, it is a natural shoreline, no beach area and swimming and fishing are at your own risk. We have a couple of natural ponds on the property and an Artesian Outdoor Cold Bath for a refreshing 70 degree col water soak! Guests are welcome to explore the pond area, get in the cold water outdoor bath , but we ask that you do not fish from the ponds at this time, we are still developing this area!
The shared hot tub is for use by all of our adult guests.
Disc Golf Course on the property for all guests to enjoy. Somewhat difficult course and found on UDisc at lakecabinescape in Flint, TX . Bring your own Disc!
Our cabins are built for exploring the outdoors, not the best place for indoor movie watchers:) limited internet availability
So come sit on the front porch and enjoy the view or build a campfire and enjoy the stars!!

We are available by phone or text anytime. We do live nearby and are available if needed, but we do respect the privacy of our guests. We may occasionally be seen farming, walking, or out working on the landscape:) we have 5 cabins total, you may see other guests on the property, but each cabin has its own secluded porch, fire pit area and separate drive. Each space is very private.
The hot tub and deck with outdoor lighting is shared by all 5 cabins. It is centrally located in a wooded area, great outdoor spot to sit in the hot tub and star gaze!
Secluded area on Lake Palestine. The Tyler lift station is nearby and can be heard with a steady water flow sound. Brookshires Grocery store is 1 mile away.. a few fast food places are nearby. The Villages Marina is 4 miles away. It is about a 20 minute drive into Tyler for restaurants and shopping! We are in the woods, but close to Tyler, Texas! There are several cute rural towns nearby with some local wineries and antique shopping to explore also!

You are welcome to explore the trails around the property and walk down to the lake. PLEASE use only the designated drive for your cabin at all times, for the safety and privacy of each guest. We are about 15 minutes into Tyler for all types of restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and a few local wineries are out in the rural areas!

Guests are welcome to walk around our rural property, down to the lake or up to the private pond and cold plunge area to watch the wildlife and get outdoors!
We are 15 minutes from Tyler, but the Cabin is in the woods and Nature is all around, this includes insects, critters of all kinds including snakes, all types of birds including Bald Eagles, roadrunners and songbirds! Be cautious of poison ivy and insects when out exploring!
There is a wild beehive near this cabin, it comes and goes, most active in the Spring. They donât bother you if you donât bother them, and we have the area clearly marked! Chiggers are out in the tall grass by May 15th throughout the summer. Advised to use insect repellent when exploring.

About the Space:
Our cozy cabin is ideal for couples or small families. Due to its size and layout, we recommend our property for guests twenty two years and older.
Safety First:
Use caution when moving around the cabin, especially on stairs and the loft ladder.
The loft is steep and not safe for young children.
Be mindful while exploring the trails and lake areas, Use life vests when entering the lake access places. Swim & fish at your own risk.
Shared & Private Spaces:
The hot tub, trails, and lake areas are shared among the cabins. Three cabins share the central Hot Tub. All cabins share the Lake access, fishing spots. pond areas, cold Plunge and disc golf course. Please be courteous of other guests at all times.
The grill and fire pit are private to each cabin.
Do not place the grill on the porch, and never leave a fire unattended.
Guest Conduct:
No smoking, parties, or unregistered guests allowed, even for day use. Please ask if you are having visitors.
Each hot tub is for adults only.
Pet Policy:
Due to the nature of our construction and the owner's severe skin allergies, we cannot allow any animalsâno exceptions. We personally handle most of the cleaning and laundry, so thank you for understanding and respecting this rule.
