Tucked into the heart of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, The Albatross Estate & Golf Links is more than a vacation home — it's a destination for life's most cherished moments. Set on 10 private acres with sweeping mountain views and a private 9-hole short course, this 14,000 sq. ft. estate is designed for celebrating—whether that’s a family getaway, a milestone birthday, a wellness retreat, or a luxurious micro-wedding. Located just 17 miles from Asheville and 15 miles from the iconic Biltmore Estate, this serene retreat accommodates up to 26 guests and offers an experience that blends elevated comfort with unforgettable memories.



Where Elegance Meets Comfort:

The main house spans three levels and over 11,000 square feet, with 9 beautifully appointed bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. From the moment you walk in, you're enveloped in natural light, upscale finishes, and warmth. The chef’s kitchen invites conversation around the island, while the adjacent sunroom makes the perfect perch for morning coffee overlooking the pool.

The formal dining room—with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the view—offers a show-stopping setting for shared meals and celebrations. Cozy lounges flank the space: one a moody bourbon room for late-night conversations, the other a billiards room for friendly competition.



Something for Everyone, Every Generation:

From grandparents to toddlers, every guest has something to enjoy. The upper level features a whimsical kids’ club complete with a rock wall and games, while the primary bedroom is a luxurious sanctuary with its own balcony, wet bar, 6-person beauty station, sunroom, and en suite bath. Two additional bedrooms offer en suite baths and serene views.

The main level offers one large bedroom with an en suite bath.

The bottom level transforms into a haven of fun: arcade games, karaoke lounge, living room, three bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

An attached two-bedroom, two full bath in-law suite provides quiet workspace, panoramic views, and full privacy.



Outdoor Living, Elevated:

Step outside onto a vast deck crafted for gathering, unwinding, and celebrating. You'll find:

- A custom sunken wood-burning fire pit

- Two sunken hot tubs under the stars

- A stargazing dome for clear mountain nights

- And a former helipad turned turfed lounge zone with daybeds and yard games



In the backyard there is:

Your Own Private Resort:

Across the estate lies your own private sports and entertainment complex. A custom-designed 9-hole turf short course offers a unique golfing experience with three greens with six pin locations per green, three tee boxes, and a custom scoreboard for friendly tournaments.

Next to the course is a professional pickleball and basketball court, and at the heart of it all is a 3,000 sq. ft. entertainment barn filled with:

Getting Around:

By Car: Renting a car is a convenient option to explore the area at your own pace. Having a car makes it easy to visit the many shopping centers, restaurants, and other points of interest in the area. Rideshare Services: Services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area, providing a convenient alternative to driving. Simply book a ride through the app, and you'll be on your way to your destination in no time.

- No parties allowed — violations may result in immediate termination of the stay. We aim to maintain a respectful environment for our neighbors.

- Pool closes by October to May.

- One security camera on the side of the property that faces the driveway and is recording 24/7 for security purposes

- Parking in the driveway for 15 cars max. Absolutely NO parking vehicles on the pickleball court.

- Private events such as small weddings will have to get special pricing - please inquire.

- Guests must be 21 years or older to book this property.

GUEST VERIFICATION:

To ensure a smooth and secure stay, we require the primary guest listed on the reservation to complete a simple screening process within 48 hours of booking confirmation. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until these steps are completed.



Once verified, and prior to check-in, guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement that includes:

- Agreeing to our rental terms and conditions.

- Providing a valid government-issued ID and a matching credit card before check-in.

- Paying a non-refundable $60 damage waiver. The damage waiver provides coverage for accidental damage during your stay, as long as it is reported prior to your check-out. This is collected either at the time of payment through the booking platform or afterward, depending on which platform you use to book.



The damage waiver covers accidental damage that may occur during your stay. To ensure coverage, all damage must be reported promptly while you’re still at the property. We understand there is normal wear and tear at houses but should anything accidentally break or get stained during your stay please just let us know. Thank you!

There is a security camera on the front of the home facing the driveway that records when it detects motion. This camera is for security purposes and keeping track of our cleaning and maintenance teams only.

Les points forts : Propreté
Host was great. Accommodated a change in schedule due to an ice storm that was set to hit us. The home has a lot of amenities, however one of the two jacuzzis wasn’t working while we were there. Management company was responsive and so was the owner. Some rooms cold and some hot made it difficult to regulate the inside but the amount of ammenities allowed us to not harp on it. Overall good experience but I think they are still improving so wonder what it will be like in a couple of years. Would recommend for large parties.
