Welcome to Eagles Rest! This charming 4-bedroom home offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, nestled in the serene beauty of Fleetwood Falls.

As you approach the property, you'll be greeted by the tranquil sounds of nature and the breathtaking scenery that surrounds this mountain oasis. Step inside to discover a warm and inviting interior, featuring a spacious layout designed for comfort and relaxation. The heart of the home is the cozy living area, complete with a gas fireplace, perfect for gathering with family and friends on chilly evenings. Adjacent to the living area is the fully equipped kitchen, where you'll find everything you need to whip up delicious meals after a day of adventure in the mountains. The home offers a drip coffee maker so be sure to bring your favorite coffee grounds!

There is one bedroom on the main level which features a king size bed, a TV, and a full bathroom in the hallway. The remaining bedrooms are located upstairs. Escape to the luxurious master bedroom, boasting ample space and its own fireplace, creating a cozy retreat where you can unwind and rejuvenate. Connected to the master suite is a bunk room which offers a twin-over-full bunk bed with a trundle bed underneath. These bedrooms will share a bathroom. The final bedroom on the upper level offers a queen bed and a private bathroom. There's plenty of room for guests or family members to enjoy their own private space. Head downstairs to find the game room complete with a pool table!

For ultimate relaxation, step outside onto the expansive wrap-around deck, complete with a swing and ample seating. Awaiting you in the private backyard is a brand new hot tub which offers soothing hydrotherapy. Gather around the fire pit under the starry sky, roast marshmallows, and share stories as you create lasting memories with loved ones.

Located just minutes from the charming town of West Jefferson, this home offers easy access to a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking and fishing! Nearby must see attractions include:
Ashe County Cheese - see cheese being made and enjoy delicious ice cream! (20 minutes away!)
Molly Chomper Cidery (37 minutes away!)
Ashe County Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am to 1pm from April to October!
Mount Jefferson State Park - great place for family photos. Stunning views! (25 minutes away!)
Grayson Highlands State Park - Excellent hiking with scenic views, more than 5,000 feet in elevation. See wild horses! (55 minutes away!)
Old Barn Winery - Live music, food trucks, perfect atmosphere! (17 minutes away!)

Enjoy a sunny day on the New River using Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Public put-in locations are nearby, as well for those bringing their own kayaks!

Additional Notes:
- Eagles Rest is very friendly to extended stay guests and may offer steep discounts for stays over 90 nights.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
- Firewood for the outdoor fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property is pet friendly for up to a maximum of 2 dogs with a $25 per day, per dog fee. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- While this home offers easy access, AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during inclement weather months where snow or ice may be present.
- Level, paved parking space for up to 6 vehicles.

CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Lovely spacious home that easily fit our 5 adults and dog. Hot tub was great. Neighborhood is nice. Love the wrap around porch with porch swings in front and back. The house definitely could use some easy-to-fix TLC to make the stay more enjoyable. Looks like the house is getting some much needed upgrades. Bathrooms are great with newer floors and counters. Kitchen is great with lots of counter space and nice appliances. Pantry is large but dirty on the shelves with stains and worn shelf paper in spots and random debris on the top shelves. Kitchen drawers need better organization as it seemed many random items in some drawers making them crowded while other drawers had just 1-2 items in them. A couple lamps in the living room are showing wear with yellowed lamp shades with small tears in them. The pool table is nice but all of the pool cue tips need to be replaced. Outdoor lighting was difficult with some bulbs not working and in the front, there were no working lights from the driveway to the front stairs making it quite hazardous. Again, very easy fixes that will make the stay nicer. I would definitely stay here again but would love the owners to give it the minor but important TLC it needs.

Nice Space for Our Family

We stayed here while attending graduation at App State. We needed space for a variety of situations and this place worked great: A main floor bed and bath for my elderly mom; a kid’s room for a portacrib; a place for two dogs; and two other bedrooms for two couples. My grandson loved running laps on the full wraparound porch.

Lovely Property

Overall we (group of 7 adults) had a great weekend stay at Eagle's Rest. The location is good as it's in a nice neighborhood, but you still feel kind of secluded, and it's located nicely between Boone and West Jefferson. The great room and kitchen area is laid out really well for a group since it's nice and open, with plenty of seating. There are plenty of dishes and supplies for cooking, and were enough linens and towels for all. The property is definitely on the dated side (a handful of lights did not work like the one above the master sink), but I think that's reflected in the price. The biggest surprise was the layout...the fourth full bathroom is located in the basement/garage level, and you have to walk through the unheated garage to get to it, as well as the game room. We ended up not using it because it would in theory go with one of the bedrooms on the upstairs level, of which there are three. You also have to walk through one of the bedrooms (either master or Queen room) to get to the bunk room, and the bunk room shares the master bathroom with the master bedroom Jack and Jill style. The Queen bedroom has its own en suite. I know this is mostly reflected in the posting, but unless you see it in person it's hard to tell what the layout actually is. Honestly, overall we had a great time, and would recommend to friends if they were looking for a budget-friendly, centrally located and comfortable cabin for a getaway stay.
