Ivy Cottage is an attractive 2 bed Cottage situated at the prestigious East Yorkshire Coast holiday village 'The Bay'. The location is excellent for visiting Filey a charming and historic seaside town only 3 miles away, and also Scarborough and Bridlingtonand the Moors, York and the City of Hull all within a hours drive. With fabulous on-site facilities and direct access to the beach, the cottage offers excellent accommodation for a traditional holiday in a lovely area. Tastefully decorated and furnished this beautiful cottage is situated within 100 acres of communal lawn and landscaped grounds, including ornamental lakes, picnic areas and meadows. On the Complex there is free access to the indoor heated pool, with children's pool, and a steam room. Well equipped Gym and children play area. Guests can also book daily classes, a beauty spa, bike hire, archery,fishing, putting green and tennis courts. A good pub serving great food,a coffee shop and Italian Bistro and on site Chemist Shop

IVY COTTAGE, which is of slightly smaller dimensions, has a Double Bedroom with small walk in wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps and a chest of drawers with mirror, and bedroom chair.

We provide a hair dryer also for your personal use.

On arrival you will discover excellent quality and freshly hand laundered bed linen and towels.

The 2nd bedroom in IVY COTTAGE is situated to the front of the property has a single bed with bedside table and lamp, wardrobe and chest of drawers and mirror. If you require another single bed we can provide a Z Bed regularly used for a child or adult, or accommodates a Travel Cot with a quality mattress for a young

The Modern Bathrooms and fully equipped with Bath and over bath Shower. There are Mirrors and Shaver Points also.

A good supply of Toilet rolls , Hand Gels and shower gels are also provided for your stay.

The Open Plan Lounge and Dining Area is extremely well and tastefully furnished and in addition to the Settees, Chairs and Throws and Cushions.
The Cottage also has a Flat Screen TV with an Amazon Fire Stick a good selection of DVDs. and DVD Player also.

There are Side Coffee Tables and Lamps a CD Players and Comfortable 4 Seater Family Dining Table and Chairs for you to enjoy your meals together.

The Kitchen is well planned and include all the equipment you require, including Washing Machine , Fridge and small Freezer, Hob and Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster and Slow Cooker.

We provide an excellent selection of Crockery and Cutlery and Cooking Equipment, including Kettles, Coffee Percolator, Sandwich Maker, toaster and a Slow Cooker, Casserole Dishes and a Hand Blender.

We are extremly well equiped to cater for families with young babies and children. We provide Travel Cots, High Chairs, Changing Mats, Stair Gates, Baby Relax Chair, and Steriliser, plus children's crockery and cutlery if required, plus booster chair seat for those little ones that can't quite reach the table when eating out, all of this equipment to make your holiday with little ones easier and enjoyable and saves you bringing it all with you and is included within your holiday cost.

We have a Good selection of Outside Toys, Paddling Pools, Balls, Buckets and Spades, Fishing Nets, badminton racquets etc....Portable folding chairs for use at the Cottage or to take out on that Picnic.

There are also additional toilet/ cloakroom downstairs in both Cottages.

We have a patio area with table and chairs and a BBQ for you to use during your stay.

We provide Blankets and Cold Bags for you to take out of the property, if you decide on a Picnic.

Parking, although not designated, is very close to the rear of the cottages.

There are around 50 acres of communal and landscaped gardens, and a lake. It is a great location for visiting an area of outstanding beauty, including the North Yorkshire Moors Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, York, Scarborough, the City of Hull, Filey and Bridlington.

Once you have had your Booking accepted we will personally make contact with you, call us a little old fashioned if you will, but dealing directly with our Guests is very important to us.

We send additional information once you have paid your Final Balance, which includes information about the Property, Heating, Key Codes, potential possible extensions for check out or earlier check in times. WIFI codes and detailed instructions on how to arrive on our Doorstep!!

A Welcome Pack for your arrival includes- Full Canisters of Tea, Coffee ans Sugar plus a 4 Pint of milk, a snack for your arrival and a nice Bottle of Wine for you to enjoy at your leisure.
When we make contact personally , we will enquire as to your milk preference and your Wine choice.

PLEASE NOTE : THE HOMEAWAY SECURITY BOND/WAIVER DAMAGE is For your information known by us as The GOOD HOUSEKEEPING BOND... this will be fully explained once you have booked your holiday, but simply it means its not for the odd broken glass or plate, but that the Cottage is left tidy (we do not means a Spring Clean) just that generally bins are emptied and the dish washer is emptied and there are not pots left in the sink etc. Just leaving tidy as you found It please is greatly appreciated. If the BBQ is used we do expect you to clean and returned to its bag and box.

Our Cottage is well located on The Development, being only a few minutes walk from The Leisure Centre, which includes a Swimming Pool, and Baby Pool alongside, plus a Sauna and Steam Room. Also a Fully Equipped Gym and Fitness Suite. These are all included FREE of Charge whilst on your holiday with us. You will be supplied with a Card to use these facilities whilst on holiday.

In addition there are other activities, ( which are planned and supervised by The Bay, and changed from time to time) which are chargeable, for example Tennis, Crazy Golf, Pool Zorb Balls and Inflatable Play Sessions, swimming lessons, Pool Keep Fit Sessions, Archery, Rifle Shooting etc which are charged for by The Bay Management Team, these charges apply both to ourselves as Owners and yourselves as Guests, if we choose to partake in additional planned and scheduled Activities.

The Restuaurant and Pub' The John Paul Jones', is also only a few minutes walk from us, however far enough for us not to be disturbed. Currently it is open for Pre Bookings only and not for any walk in Guests, due to social distancing under the Covid 19 Pandemic.

There is a new and small Family Entertainment Centre onsite, in addition to an Outdoor Childrens Play Area.

Finally we have a Pharmacy, also selling additional items for your stay.

IMPORTANT PLEASE MAKE NOTE:
Although we own our Cottages onsite, we do not own the site. This is owned and managed by Aria Resorts Ltd. Therefore, although like Owners, our Guests enjoy Free use of the Pool, Gym, Sauna and Steam Rooms, we have no control over the Developments on the site, The Opening Hours, Availability or Schedule of available Activities. Therefore if this is important to you please check prior to confirming your booking with us that there is no scheduled maintainance, particularly on the Pool. you can telephone The Bay Leisure Complex on 01723 518130, Option 4.
