Our home is meticulously maintained and thoroughly cleaned after each stay to prepare for new guest arrivals. Coraline's Cabin has been recently renovated in 2026. This is also the perfect place if you are traveling and need to work while on vacation. We have a dedicated work space and high speed Starlink wifi.

Complete in the living room is a gas fireplace (open October-April) and a large smart tv to stream all your favorite shows. Also supplied are board games and puzzles.

Cozy up in Bedroom #1 with a king size bed in the loft that has a staircase and plenty of room to move around.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed is located on the main floor just across the hall from the bathroom.

End your evenings with a beautiful sunset from the back deck while you are grilling dinner on the charcoal grill or simply enjoying a glass of wine. Galax: a 40-45 minute drive northwest. Has shopping, restaurants, Walmart and a very cute little downtown with coffee shops. The New River trail is also located there and is great for walking or riding bikes.
Floyd: a 40-45 minute drive. Floyd is a small, quirky town in the Blue Ridge Mountains known for its vibrant arts scene, traditional Appalachian music, and unique, eclectic culture. It’s a popular destination for its Friday Night Jamboree, artisan shops, galleries, and farm-to-table dining, attracting visitors seeking a slower pace and a strong sense of community.
Mount Airy: The home of Andy Griffith. Has many museums and sight seeing: The diner that Andy Griffith use to eat in on the show is still there. There are lots of shops and restaurants.
Pilot Mountain State Park: Gorgeous North Carolina views and nice little hiking trails.
Buffalo Mountain Hike- Head North on the BRPW to milepost 174. Turn left onto Conners Grove Rd. Go 1.4 miles and turn left onto Halls Store Rd. Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto Mole Rd. Go .9 ml to the end and follow the steep incline to the top and turn right. Follow this to the trailhead parking lot. At the top are phenomenal views and picnicking areas. Explore all around the top as there are other trails going down.
Fries, Virginia: Old coal miners town. Has a gorgeous river that runs through it the new river with a dam and it is great for kayaking or canoeing you can also rent kayaks from there and the new river trail also will connect there as well.
Grayson Highlands State Park: Beautiful mountain views the Appalachian trail runs right through it. There’s a good possibility that you will be able to see the wild horses that are there
New River Trail State Park.
Its a great place to Swim, Wade, Kayak, Tube or Fish. Or to just simply have a picnic.
Cumberland Knob is a great hike with bathroom facilities, play area for dogs and kids, and lots of water and falls.
Blue Ridge Parkway that is located approximately 2 minutes from the cabin that you’re staying in. All along the Blue Ridge Parkway there’s all kinds of hiking trails, overlooks, etc. Along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Meadows of Dan has Mabry mill. It is highly worth the drive.
