Beautiful views of the mountains and piedmont seconds off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Retro Bungalow offers breathtaking views with a nostalgic vibe. A cozy home with a large deck to have coffee, a meal, or just sit, relax and soak in the scenery!
Swing on the covered front porch while listening to the babbling creek. We are pet friendly, have a fenced in yard and a gated deck to provide peace of mind and security for your pet. ($25 pet fee) Step inside and back in time!
The space
One bedroom with one King Size bed. Cozy living room with electric fireplace, console stereo and smart tv. Fully equipped kitchen with cooking basics. Dining area. Bar cart to mix up some classic cocktails. Full bath. Spacious, pet safe deck with a breathtaking view! Fenced in front yard with covered porch with swings.

What a cute little bungalow and a gorgeous view! Had everything we needed for a 2-night getaway. Had not been to this area in Virginia, and this was the perfect "home base" to do some exploring. Would recommend a stay here!

The cabin was lovely and the view was "as advertised." The hosts left a binder of recommended restaurants and things to do which was not only thoughtful and helpful, but included restaurants we never would have tried, but were indeed wonderful! They also provided very helpful pet supplies for those that do bring their pets. Based on photos, we aniticapted a more secluded stay in this cabin. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The road winds close to the small fenced front yard and down the side of the house. We were there in early April and no foliage so we were exposed to road noise when in the living room and outside the house. The back deck and fire pit area are both exposed to the road.This was a wonderful property, but if you're looking for complete wooded seclusion, I'd look elsewhere.

What an absolute WONDERFUL stay! This was actually our second trip to this little Peace of Heaven; the first trip being in March 2025 and now this one in March 2026. This trip was just as perfect as the first one! This little house is just precious and cozy and such a relaxing place to stay. The house is so clean and stocked with so many useful things that you might need during your visit. The hosts, Pete and Darlene, really think of everything! And the view........ WOW!!! Amazing does not even describe it! I would recommend staying here in a heartbeat!!!!!

Totally loved this place! It gave us the get away we needed. Plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the beauty
whether it was in the front porch swing, in a chair on the back deck, in the hammock, or by the fire pit. Gorgeous view of the sunrise. This bungalow was very clean and inviting. Loved being able to take our dog with us. Appliances were all working and pots and pans available for cooking. We had a wonderful stay!

The Retro Bungalow was so unique inside and out! We loved all of the retro decor that brought back memories of our childhood. The view was gorgeous and was my favorite thing. God’s Country

A perfect backdrop for a romantic weekend! A very cute bungalow with awesome views day and night! Close to Mayberry USA, antique shops and hiking. Drove out to Mabry Mill and took in a show at the Andy Griffith Theatre. A bunch of deer and a momma bear with her cubs made an appearance on a back road! Highly recommend the steaks at 13 Bones Restaurant!
