Enjoy your time at Rough River Lake staying in this beautiful private home with room for everyone! Enjoy the 1.5 acres offering privacy with beautiful seasonal views of the lake!

Sit back and relax on the large wrap-around deck with tons of seating, or gather around the fire pit for marshmallows!

Walk down the easy walking path to the lake for swimming, fishing, and relaxing. The boat launch is 15 min away, trailer storage is onsite.

The space

The main house is 1600 sf with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Large eat-in kitchen with table that seats 6, additional seating for 6 at the outdoor table.
The kitchen is well stocked for your cooking needs with a full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave. There is also a full-size washer and dryer for use. Large family room with electric fireplace and 65" smart tv with Netflix.
Games and books are located in the hallway bookcases for additional family fun!

There's room for evervone with the 3 bedrooms and bunkhouse:
Master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bath
2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds
3rd bedroom has a full-size bed
Pull-out sofa: queen size in the family room

Bunkhouse:
1 full-size bed, 1 twin bed, 1 sofa, recliner, and table with 4 chairs. The bunkhouse is located next to the main house

We provide 4 beach towels, please bring additional if you require more.

The Lake:
We are located in Cave Creek Cove- most of the cove is a no-wake zone so swimming is great here! The Cave Creek campground is 15 minutes away for your boat launch needs and the boat ride back to our area is 3 minutes.
We have an area for swimming and fishing, please note we do not have a"sandy area", the best place for this is on the islands in the lake. There are several places on the lake for it ski and boat rentals. See the online guide for additional information.

**Other things to note**

**The access to the water is public for the neighborhood. The boat slips on the water are privately owned. Renters must stay off the slips for liability reasons. Booking this property acknowledges this. **

**The property allows for 2 pets max. Please be respectful of the house and yard. Clean up after your pets and discard of waste from yard. No pets allowed in the beds. We can’t allow the beds to be full of hair when being washed and on a septic.
**Additional fees could be added for clean up of pets. Booking this reservation acknowledges this.

Please note: ROUGH RIVER LAKE IS A FLOOD CONTROLLED LAKE THAT IS CONTROLLED BY THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS. THE WATER LEVELS MAY FLUCTUATE ACCORDING TO RAINFALL. THROUGH LATE FALL AND WINTER MONTHS THE LAKE MAY BE DRAINED.

Private neighborhood with less than 15 cabins. private lake access through community dock. This is a fun, quiet area where you can enjoy time on and off the lake.

Getting around

You can bike, walk, bring a golf cart, drive your car, to access parts of the lake.

Relaxing and out if the way

A few things not working properly, but nothing that would turn me off of this place. Still a great family oriented place. Lake was a tad further than i thought but still not a deal breaker, and still pretty close. Couldnt access the water here with all the flooding. Loved the fire pit set up and kid game's. Loved the bunk house, though dont open the fridge out there. Would def come again, the whole family loved the property. Kitchen very well equipped.

Rough River Lake stay

My family enjoyed our stay at the Rough River Lake house. The house appeared just as it was listed. There was plenty of space for everyone and we loved the games indoors and outdoors. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and we even had time to set around the campfire. The host was kind and responded in a timely fashion, even let us add an extra day. I would definitely stay here again and we have already told friends how much we enjoyed it.

This booking was absolutely amazing! We took just a weekend away to attend a Taylor swift event for my daughter and the place really met our needs, everything was as it was advertised and nice location, it’s a wooded area so be okay with nature, which was exactly what we wanted, we would definitely book again!

Mom's trip home

Our mother was born in Grayson County and will soon be 90 years old. She asked for a trip "home". We had an enjoyable time, the house was perfect....mom really enjoyed the front porch where we spend numerous hours sharing family stories This was a 3 generation trip. Thank you so very much.

Fun time at the lake.

We enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was very cute and the extra bunkhouse was a handy place for the younger ones. I mistakenly thought the trail to lake was right behind the cabin but that was my fault for not reading description carefully and checking map. But honestly it was not a problem. It was a short walk or drive with place to park at the top of the path. We had a fun day renting a pontoon and another day fishing and floating in the cove.

Amazing Get Together!!!

We had a girls weekend here and it was absolutely perfect! House was adorable, clean and smelled amazing! Plenty of beds, towels, extra sheets and everything else you might forget, they have. Justin was amazing and communicated with us if we needed him. Lake was so much fun, they had kayaks we were able to use and swam around the dock. Area was very quiet but perfect for our group! Overall a perfect stay:)

Perfect!

Our family of 7 enjoyed a long weekend in this beautiful lakehouse! Cozy little home with plenty of space for all of us. Cute decor, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of towels and extra bedding if needed. The yard is nice with so many trees and the fire pit was perfect for the evenings. Lake access was just a short walk away. And the kayaks provided were alot of fun for my older sons. We enjoyed our time here and will return again. Highly recommend l!

Beautiful house with plenty of room for a lot of people.

Just wanted to leave a review on how amazing this house is. Very clean and has all the utensils and pots and pans that you would need. A really nice outside fire pit to enjoy. Everything is spotless and in really good condition. Justin just took ownership of this house but in the past it has had many many positive reviews. The water was down when we came so I can't say anything about the fishing. Justin was very attentive and answered my text in any concern I had very quickly.
