Bring your friends and furry family to Fairplay's Hidden Gem, a unique and eclectic home that offers a mountain town getaway, with the convenience of being easy walking distance from parks, the Front Street restaurants, bars, and stores, as well as the âFairplay Beach.â
Just a few blocks from Hwy 285, this is one of the easiest homes in the area to access - even when the winter weather moves in! Just a 5 minute walk to the Summit Stage Bus Stop on Main Street, you can enjoy days spent sightseeing and browsing around the town of Breckenridge, without the hassle of driving back and forth over Hoosier Pass yourself!
Welcome to the Hidden Gem! As you step into the front door of the bungalow, bask in the glow of the warm and ever bright Sun Room! Warm, terra-cotta tile and cozy lounge chairs make for the perfect place to enjoy your morning brews and small town views.
Up a few steps from the Sun Room, you'll enter an open concept Kitchen and Dining Room. The dining space features a large table with comfortable seating for five, and additional high-top seating for four at the kitchen bar. Enjoy the ambiance of the electric fireplace and smart TV mounted in the wall in the dining area, perfect for watching some high alpine cooking inspiration! The well appointed Kitchen, features stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and is stocked with all the dishes, cooking utensils and kitchen gadgets you might need to whip up your favorite meal. The Central Bathroom on this floor is just behind the Kitchen and offers a standard toilet, vanity, and a bathtub/shower combo, where you can choose to start your day off with a refreshing rinse, or sink in for a long hot soak after a day filled with high alpine adventures. Adjacent to the Kitchen, you'll find two bedrooms, the room to the left features a plush queen size bed with custom log bed frame and corner closet, while the bedroom to the right offers a twin bed, cozy closet, rocking chair and direct access to the back deck and backyard. The backyard is fully fenced in, perfect for furry family members to roam and sniff, while you lounge on the elevated deck or cook up some supper on the propane barbecue grill.
Back to the front of the home and down just a few steps from the Sun Room, you'll enter a vibrant Living Room. Sink into a cozy corner couch next to the fireplace and enjoy your favorite movies with friends and loved ones on the mounted smart TV.
The basement Master Suite, features a plush king size bed (all of our beds are fitted with comfy, cotton bed linens) with a small corner closet and an En Suite bathroom. This bathroom offers a standard toilet, vanity, and a bathtub/shower combo.
Guests also have access to the basement Laundry Room, which offers a standard washer and dryer, so no need to waste precious vacation time making a trip to the laundromat across town.
If you intend to come to Fairplay for any of our seasonal events, look no further than Fairplay's Hidden Gem, where you can park up to 2 vehicles at the home and walk less than 5 minutes to all the local festivities. Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This area is a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will likely find it within 10-20 minutes of the bungalow. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.
