The space
This space is uniquely located on Chena Marina in a residential area with gravel roads, where many of the local small plane pilots live and fly their planes from the float pond and airstrip. Many of the houses incorporate hangars. Having said that, the area is quiet. It is located upstairs and inside a family owned business where Alaska Airlink Shuttle and Tours operates. There are many buses and vans parked here, this is a tour business. The host also lives here. There are solid double doors that are locked between the unit and the host’s home. There is the possibility that one can hear household noises between units. There are no windows in the apartment.
Only the booking party is allowed on the property and in the apartment, and the Arctic entry which is just inside the entryway to the apartment.
Other things to note
The guest house is located on the second floor. You must climb the stairs from the artic entry to access the appt. There are no windows so the unit can become warm but there is an air conditioner, ceiling fan and a floor fan.
