Luxury Retreat Perfect for Reconnecting w/ Nature

Welcome to the Cottage at Perkins Hollow! We are located in beautiful Nelson County, Virginia, also known as Virginia`s Wine Country. Nestled on a gentle hillside, we are near the Nelson 151 Brew Trail as well as the Route 29 wine corridor.

Our charming studio cottage offers the opportunity to unwind amid beautiful landscapes and abundant wildlife. With fold-away doors that disappear for an unobstructed view, a large screened-in front porch, and our outdoor tub, you can be a part of nature no matter where you are. Lay on the king size bed and watch the sun track across the mountains or soak in the outdoor tub with a glass of wine, gazing at the stars.

Nestled on a gentle hillside with almost sixty acres to explore, peaceful adventure is all around you. Find all three ponds on the property, hike to Uhler Point, or walk through the garden to watch the chickens play. For those who wish for adventure outside of Perkins Hollow, the Nelson 151 Brew Trail and the Route 29 Wine Corridor well within driving distance. Just a few miles down the road is the award-winning Delfosse Winery or go spend time at the idyllic Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard a little further away.

While you`ll enjoy exclusive use of your private cottage, the surrounding property offers shared access to nature`s beauty, including the two ponds and three hiking trails with other Perkins Hollow Retreat guests. If you are interested in booking all of them for friends or family, please let us know!

We are free via the VRBO app, text, or call should you have any questions or concerns. Contactless, self check-in and out will be provided prior to your stay.

Driving will be your main form of transportation . Uber and Lyft are available but our location is remote so your cost may be higher.

We are surrounded by wooded areas so you will see the occasional wildlife. Please come prepared with sunscreen and bug spray.

Electric and motor vehicles (dirt bikes, ATVs, 4-wheelers, etc) are not permitted on the property.

You may fish CATCH AND RELEASE only with BARBLESS hooks.

An amazing cottage

This place was top notch! We had been awaiting this stay and it more than exceeding our expectations for our 10th anniversary. The website was a great touch and communication before and during our stay was excellent. Beautiful place with all the little touches one could ask for. Perfect location for a quiet getaway and to jump to Charlottesville and the numerous area wineries. We definitely want to come back as it was everything we could ask for.

Best Weekend Ever

My husband and I came down for a weekend winery getaway. This property is literally perfect! From its design to maximize morning light and evening sunsets to literally every tiny detail! The outdoor shower and tub are so romantic and private! It has everything you need.. a small fireplace, an outdoor fire pit, grills, a beautiful modern bathroom with heated floors and scenic views. The bed is king size and has all the charging stations nearby for all your electronics. The front screened in porch is the best place to enjoy coffee and watch chickens roam in the morning . The rooster makes sure you don't sleep in too late! The kitchen, complete with a pantry of every essential you may have forgotten, is gorgeous and modern yet has a cottage feel. It is about 20 minutes to the wineries and downtown Charlottesville. The property itself is beautiful with two ponds and hiking trails and a sweet black lab to show you the way you don't even need to leave. I cannot say enough about this cottage! Book your trip now!

Amazing Getaway!

What an amazing little cabin in such a beautiful area of Virginia wine country. The cabin is so much more than what the pictures show. It's the perfect little place for a quiet couples weekend. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for that perfect little getaway.

The Best Cottage In All The World!

It is all that we could ever hope for and more! Blissful stay and thoroughly enjoyed the in-property trail and our toddler LOVED the outdoor tub. So impressed with the high end appliances and the thought put into the random things you thought you won't need. The cabin itself and the quietness of nature will recharge you. So happy to have stayed there. Looking forward to maybe booking another trip there this year! Thank you, host/s!
