We pulled up to the property -Super Eight in Evanston, WY. The property had trash strewn around it, fresh paint was needed, appeared unsafe and unclean on the outside. Went into the âlobbyâ which was a tiny square room with a check in desk behind glass. No one was in the cubicle. The whole place looked shady. People hanging out in the parking lot. So we left and went across the street to the nice and clean Best Western.
I am surprised that Wyndham would attach its brand to a property like this. That is why we even dared to book it, assuming that Wyndham would have higher standards for their brand.
I had to call for the desk person. It took her 10 minutes to appear and she showed up with a baby on her hip. There were 3 of us waiting by the time she showed up. Our room was ok but the walls were so thin we could her the guy next door coughing/clearing his throat all night. The ice machine was also out of order on a hot August night. The outside reminded me of a sleezy hotel. I wonât stay here again.
Omg just donât stay here!
Itâs very run down, barely any privacy as there are huge gaping holes under the doors, our dogs were literally nose to nose with the neighborâs dog.
The tiles on bathroom floor were cracked.
The section across the parking lot is abandoned and very scary looking.
If you are looking for the cheapest place in town, this is it, we paid $80/night for 2 king rooms. Sheets were clean but the room wasnât. It clearly hadnât been deep cleaned in weeks- edges of room and corners had dirt build up, room had dirt and debris on the floor, hairs in the bathroom that werenât mine. Hair dryers in both rooms werenât working, door wasnât sealed and I could see the daylight out of the edges of door. A few mosquitos made their way in. Refrigerator had a massive dent like someone had kicked it in- rooms very shabby. Stairs and upper walkway has clearly not been vacuumed in a week or so. Wifi was weak and slow. Sink was clogged. Not sure how Super 8 can put their name on this place.
It was a good deal for a budget motel. The room was clean and comfortable. We were grateful for the freezer in the refrigerator so we could freeze our ice pack. The guest laundry facilities were scary so we did not use them. Breakfast was a bit spartan with packaged muffins and granola bars.
