This unit is in a community of 45 mountain cabins with a hot tub located at the Solitude Lodge, a few minutes by foot, and shared by all guests of the neighborhood. It closes strictly at 9pm.
Check in is 4pm and later, and check out is 10am and earlier, with early check in available for a small fee but cannot be reserved until 24h before arrival and only then if the cleaning schedule allows for it.
Parking is a short walk from the cabin - pack light or bring wheeled luggage and a flashlight for evening arrivals.
Like nearly all homes in Estes, this cabin has no air conditioning. Portable fans are provided, and mountain breezes cool things down quickly each evening.

The vaulted windows frame Longs Peak Cirque and Lily Mountain like living artwork, while Lumpy Ridge dominates the view from the upstairs deck.
Located in the peaceful Solitude Cabins community, you`re just 4 minutes from downtown Estes Park`s shops and restaurants, yet tucked away enough to enjoy true mountain tranquility.
BEDROOMS
Upstairs Bedroom: King bed with stunning log furniture, smart TV, ceiling fan, and access to the private upstairs deck with those incredible views. Features a cozy sitting area overlooking Lumpy Ridge and walk-in closet. En-suite bathroom included.
Downstairs Bedroom: King bed with handcrafted log frame, smart TV, and ceiling fan. Window overlooks a small meadow perfect for morning wildlife spotting. Semi-private en-suite bathroom access through connecting door.
Sleeping Area: Living room features a pullout sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two additional guests.

Upstairs Bathroom: Private en-suite with walk-in shower and modern fixtures.
Downstairs Bathroom: Full bathroom with tub/shower combination and vanity. Connects to downstairs bedroom via private door and hallway access.
LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT
The open-concept living area features soaring vaulted ceilings that showcase mountain peaks through dramatic windows. Sink into plush chairs or the pullout sofa while the gas fireplace with sandstone surround creates the perfect ambiance. Samsung smart TV and a chest full of games and books keep everyone entertained.
The true star is the deck access - with seating for six and its own gas grill, it`s where you`ll spend most evenings watching alpenglow paint the peaks.

Fully equipped kitchen includes everything from crockpot to blender, mixer to cheese grater, plus quality cookware and full place settings. The dining table seats six comfortably with those spectacular mountain views as your backdrop.

The Solitude HOA is a quiet neighborhood of vacation cabins near Lake Estes, just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park. This is a peaceful, family-friendly resort community. It encompasses 45 standalone cabins, a main lodge with 7 hotel-style rooms, and a meeting space/gathering area. The grounds cover 9 acres and back up to wild forest to the east, so wildlife frequent the neihgborhood. Lake Estes has a great walking path around it and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Solitude is only a few minutes by car to downtown Estes Park.
You will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town`s free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude neighborhood. That shuttle runs from July to September and will take you to downtown, and from there you can take other shuttles around the Estes Valley.
NO SMOKING, NO FIRES
This home was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park`s vacation homes). Charcoal BBQs are banned. Gas is OK.
ROAD CONDITIONS
Estes has a great plow team and our parking area will also be plowed during storms, but if there`s a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
