Escape to the enchanting beauty of our rustic cabin nestled alongside the tranquil waters of Fightingtown Creek. This hidden gem offers a retreat into nature's embrace, complete with unparalleled rustic charm and modern comforts. With decks that extend over the creek, a bubbling hot tub, crackling firepit, pool table, and a cozy fireplace, this cabin promises an idyllic getaway for up to 16 guests where you can be as off-the-grid or connected as you want.
Only a few miles from the world class competitive trout fishing waters of Horseshoe Bend Park, Fightingtown Creek is the largest tributary of the Toccoa River in this region and largely runs through private lands. Rainbow trout populate the creek reliably from April through October and can be caught right from the split-level dock in our backyard in compliance with Georgia state laws. For recreational creek access, our neighborhood provides several launch points to accommodate tubes and kayaks during warmer months.
Just a few minutes up nearby Madola Road is an impressive swath of stables and guided horse trails through the ridge where riders of all ages and experience levels are welcome to explore the mountains on horseback.
Throughout spring and summer, family owned Mercier Orchards offers u-pick crops of every variety as they mature into season. From strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries in spring and early summer to pears and apples toward autumn, the farm will provide a tour for the whole family on your way out to the fields. They also have a world-class bakery and distillery on site attached to their market, which are all open year round for winter travelers.
For the rugged and adventurous, Nantahala National Forest provides unparalleled white water rafting opportunities and beautifully preserved hiking trails.
Like the idea of escape but with the comforts of home nearby? Downtown Blue Ridge and several fabulous farm-to-table restaurants are only 15 minutes away. People travel from all over the southeast to dine and browse our renowned antique shops during the holidays.
