Lakeside Loft in the Maine Woods an hour from Acadia National Park

Unwind at the lake after a day of activities in Acadia National Park and the surrounding Downeast area. Our lovely, secluded studio includes a cozy living room with a beautiful view of the pond. The second floor of the studio includes a queen bed and living room with skylights. There is also a table that seats four and overlooks the yard and lake. On the first floor you will find the kitchen, bathroom and a utility room (also the entry way) with a washer and dryer. Outside, enjoy the firepit, grill and chairs overlooking the yard and the lake. At the shore, approximately 100' away you will find the dock and an area for swimming and fishing. In the evening, listen to Loons, Owls and the sounds of the water lapping on the shore. A canoe and kayaks are available for your use as well as some fishing equipment. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, Smart TV, AC, and heating during your stay. The bathroom is equipped with the essentials. Our place will help you feel at home after a long day of adventure or just spending time at the lake.

Items to Note:

Lakeside Loft is on a private camp road. The road is kept in very good condition and is passable by most cars. It is not suitable for low-riders or any cars with very low ground clearance.

The loft is on the same lot as a cabin that is also occasionally occupied. The firepit and grill area is not shared but the dock area is shared. Canoes and kayaks are also shared with our other unit. Please see the aerial photo attached for locations.

The tap water is suitable for washing but not suitable for drinking or cooking (it has a high sodium content). We provide a water cooler with a two 5-gallon jugs of bottled water.

The loft is in the Maine woods. There will be bugs so bring bug spray. Bug "season" is typically at its worst between May 15 and June 15. Outside of that timeframe it is usually not an issue. August through early October is usually an exceptionally nice time of year.

We do not allow any kind of smoking or vaping on the property, inside or outside.

We do allow well behaved pets and ask that you pick up after them.
