Come and enjoy world famous Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor in our newly renovated 1899 Maine farmhouse consisting of 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, loft section and 3 living areas to relax. 

This updated home maintains the charm of the DownEast Maine region while providing all of the modern conveniences needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation. 

Brand new heating and AC (installed Dec 2023) provides year round comfort. 

Decorated with local Maine antiques and artwork for an authentic experience. 

✧ Stargaze in the private backyard and enjoy the forest view while soaking in the hot tub (installed Dec 2023) or sitting around the propane fire table. Two story private deck outside the kitchen and upper bedroom (perfect little morning coffee or yoga spot). You will have the whole property to yourself - full privacy, no cameras, but we are still contactable any time. 

✧ Fully stocked kitchen - we don’t skimp on pots, pans or utensils. Serving platters, proper silverware (not plastic), lobster pot, oven trays, oil, salt & pepper provided. Appliances include dishwasher, Ninja drip coffee maker (XL 14 cup), Ninja blender, electric kettle, toaster, slow cooker, full sized fridge + mini fridge for drinks, electric stove top (5 burner) and full size oven. Washer and dryer located in the 1st floor bathroom. 

✧ Towels, hairdryers, sheets, pillows, shampoo & bodywash, iron & clothes steamer, toilet paper and paper towels provided. Just bring yourselves! We are pleased to provide you with all of the comfortable amenities, and only ask that you treat our home with respect, as if it were your own :) We also provide basic cleaning supplies (rags, cleaner, Dyson vacuum) or can offer additional housekeeping services for long stays. 

✧ For guests who do not want to climb stairs, there is one main bedroom and a bathroom located on the first floor. 

✧ Free private parking on the front driveway. Driveway can fit up to 4 vehicles. More free public parking available across the street. 

✧ Please note we are located on a main road. While it is mostly quiet at night and in the mornings, it does get busy during the day (hopefully you will be out exploring!). We have a privacy fence so you can enjoy the outside amenities. 

✧ We are open year round. Perfect for summer hiking & adventuring, fall leaf peeping, cozy winter relaxing and blissful, quiet nature soaking in spring’s low season. Pets are allowed as long as you treat our home with respect. Please clean up the yard after your pet. You will have full access to the entirety of the house and the property to enjoy. While we are not available in person, we are available 24/7 via AirBnb messaging, call or text.

Escape the big city for a getaway to the quaint town of Ellsworth, Maine. With room for 12 guests, gather your family and explore this beautiful DownEast region of Maine. Our house is located less than 5 minutes from the main downtown street in Ellsworth - with unique antique shops, delicious dining options, a beautiful river walk along the Union River and so much more! 

Interested in getting out to enjoy nature? While the expansive trails of Acadia National Park are only about 30 minutes away, the DownEast Sunrise Trail is just a short drive from the house. 

Ellsworth is the gateway to the DownEast region of Maine, with plenty of opportunities to explore beautiful trails, ponds/lakes, and iconic picturesque rocky Maine coastal views. Driving distance to Acadia National Park (<25 mins), Baxter State Park (famous for moose sightings!), and beautiful coastal towns such as Bar Harbor, Camden, and Rockland (<1 hr). Find amazing restaurants, shopping, theater, activities and tours galore! 

LOGISTICS

Three large grocery stores within 10 min drive (Hannaford, Shaws & Walmart). You can order groceries for Walmart pickup ahead of time. Our home is located less than 20 minutes from the Hancock County/Bar Harbor Airport for Cape Air flights. We are 40 minutes from Bangor International Airport. If you need to request a ride, we do not suggest Uber, but rather recommend utilizing a local taxi service. If you would like to explore Mount Desert Island without worrying about driving, there is the year round bus service, giving you even more opportunity to relax and enjoy the sights!
