Our cabin is located in a small gated private enclave of a dozen or so homes offering all paved roads including our driveway. The community offers the ultimate in privacy and security away from it all but only 15 minutes to downtown Ellijay.

Trout Tales Lodge is a breathtaking cabin offering a wonderful feeling of seclusion along scenic Mountaintown Creek in a private gated enclave. Our cabin offers expansive outdoor space with decks on all 3 stories and riverside! Watch the geese glide into land, browse at the deer grazing in the meadow, catch a glimpse of the Blue Heron, cool off with a swim in the river with 300' of riverfront, bring a tube and float your stress away, cast your line in our STOCKED Trophy Trout Stream.

The Space
Enjoy all this from a five-star cabin that includes details such as professional hair care products, luxurious bedding and towels, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, a game room with a pool table, a movie room with a large Smart TV, three fireplaces(one firepit) to choose from, a wide assortment of board games, poker set, cards, a luxury Hot Tub, 2 king and 1 Queen masters all with full bathrooms and access to outdoor decks overlooking the river. You simply will not find a nicer cabin in a more idyllic setting.

Note the movie room on the lower level includes a Twin over Full Bunk Bed and the upstairs loft includes a twin size daybed with a trundle underneath.

Guest access
You will enjoy access to the entire home and 300 feet of private riverfront.

Other things to note
IMPORTANT- Please note that our base rate is for 5 people and that the rate increases $15 per night per each additional Guest above 5 up to 10 total Guests or up to an additional $75 per night. This allows us to offer a more reasonable rate for smaller parties.

DOG- While we do allow ONE dog, it must be 50 pounds or less and at least 2 years old. We require the completion of our Dog Form which includes uploading a Vet Health Certificate confirming the dog's breed, age, weight, and that its vaccinations are current along with a photo of the dog. Note that there is a pet fee of $35/night per stay that will be charged at the time of booking. Finally, we reserve the right to restrict certain breeds.

We have a terrific community and great neighbors, some of whom live here full time. Please use your upmost discretion to be respectful of them and their properties. Dogs should not wander freely onto other properties. Most of us have dogs and are dog lovers, but the liability and unpredictable consequences of roaming animals make this unacceptable.

Renters, their guests, and animals do not have permission to be on any property other than ours.

Neighbors have complained of lights being left on all night or for excessive periods of time, which disrupts the beautiful night sky so please be respectful of this.
We offer Internet allowing speeds that will keep all guests connected and happy!

Please note that while access to the cabin is generally easy on ALL paved roads, the driveway to the cabin is steep but is fully paved. 4-Wheel Drive is NOT necessary.

In regard to our bunk room, please follow all the guidelines below if you are planning on utilizing the upper bunk bed.
• Keep bunk bed placed in the corners of the room so that there are walls on two sides. DO NOT MOVE BUNK BED from its position.
• Never allow children under 6 years of age to sleep in the upper bunk.
• Emphasize to children that they should always use the ladder and not other furniture to climb into or out of the bunk bed.
• Instruct all children that bunk beds are not to be roughhoused on at any time.
• If any are present, please remove dangerous objects from around the bed.
• Never hang belts, scarves or ropes from the bunkbed, as these items could strangle a child.
Please note that any use of the upper bunk bed is done so at your own risk. ALWAYS use caution and make certain that your children also always know to use caution.
