Welcome to Makin' Waves Lodge on Birdsong Hollow Cove!

This newly remodeled, 1200 sq ft lakefront home at Lake of the Ozarks has been updated to provide guests with everything necessary to make great memories at the lake. It offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, and floor to ceiling lake views in the living room and kitchen. The hot tub area lakeside provides a great gathering space with lake views. The living room and each bedroom is equipped with a Smart TV for those needing a break from the sun or to unwind at night. The kitchen provides all the comforts of home to cook and a Blackstone Griddle is available to barbecue for the family.

Makin' Waves Lodge is located on the north shore of the 3 mile-marker down a private road and offers seclusion, yet is only 5 minutes from the famous Bagnell Dam Strip and 10-15 minutes from all Lake Ozark and Osage Beach has to offer. The nearby Village Marina offers boat and waverunner rentals and the Boathouse Lakeside Bar and Grill is a popular lakeside destination less than 5 minutes away by car.

Outdoor space is plentiful including a large covered deck with a brand new Blackstone griddle and Smart TV, martini deck with covered gazebo, and a newly upgraded dock complete with picnic table, mini-fridge, and jumping platform. After a long day swimming or skiing and tubing, relax your muscles in the covered hot tub. It's always fun to end your day and watch the sunset with a fire and s'mores in the the fire pit.

Great communication with host, he was always quick to reply. House was clean and well-stocked, beds were comfortable. Outdoor area was fantastic- multi-level deck with lots of seating, hot tub, and fire pit. It is a little out of the way to get to but in general still just 15-20 minutes to get to most things. Very peaceful area, we barely heard anyone else around. A couple of notes: our fault for not noticing on the listing but there’s no shampoo or bath soap so bring your own. There are also no local (antenna) channels available so you either get things through your own subscription apps or the Roku tv channels. We weren’t able to watch a game we wanted on Fox because it wasn’t on our apps or the tv.This house is great for families and is probably a lot of fun in summer when you can be outside more (was mostly cold and rainy when we were there.)

Nice place to stay in the fairly secluded Cove we were able to bring our boat and park it on the side of the dock which worked out perfect with plenty of bumpers just around the corner. There’s a nice restaurant the boathouse which is a very upscale place has a swim up pool bar. There’s three gas stations within half hour mile of the place the lake is very great miles of boat rides and things to see caught some fish while we’re there we definitely will be back

Excellent stay!

Took my 2 young daughters for spring break somewhere different but similar this year compared to our prior few years. We’ve gone to the Smoky Mountains in recent years but wanted a different type of nature escape this year! Makin’ Waves was legit a great time. My girls loved wandering down to the dock just to hangout and dip their toes in the water. When we weren’t outside, we enjoyed the spacious, comfortable, and very clean house! Stark Caverns black light cave tour was cool, Redhead Lakeside Grill was a good lunch out, and overall, the 5-night stay was great. Andrew was easy to get a hold of when I initially had an inquiry about my entry code. We’d definitely stay again!

A Perfect Getaway!!

We just had a remarkable stay at Makin’Waves Lodge. The view is great and the house itself is spacious, spotless, and packed with every amenity you could want, from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy beds that make you never want to leave. The multiple outdoor spaces are perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails, and the hot tub was a relaxing plus! The hosts were super responsive and went above and beyond. Hands down, a wonderful getaway spot—already counting the days until we can come back!

Thanksgiving Family Fun

It was great! All the kitchen things to cook a Thanksgiving feast and room to relax! Hot tub and fishing off the dock was also a highlight. Highly recommend!

Family fun on the Lake

We had a good time with family at this property. The dock was great, and the location was nice. There were some things that might need to be looked at in the near future. The stairs down to the dock were needing repair. The last step was hard to maneuver. The BBQ was very greasy and other furniture on the deck also. The house was clean and worked great for the seven of us with plenty of room.

Cozy Getaway

The house was adorable and very clean. We all slept very well after long days of playing in the lake. The kitchen is very spacious for cooking. We loved the options on the property, swimming, using the dock for our jetski, the hot tub, and having campfires. Beautiful!

Great location, perfect for our family of 6

We enjoyed being right on the water - spent time on the lake tubing, floating, fishing. Especially enjoyed the covered deck for morning coffees, afternoon naps, and evening card playing! Not many mosquitoes to speak of which made it even more enjoyable. We ate in some thanks to the fully stocked kitchen and also ate out some too. Definitely used the on-site laundry too. Highly recommend, especially if you want a quieter area of the lake with quick access to everything!

Spring break trip

House is very clean and well stocked. There’s great views from the many windows in the living room. We enjoyed the outdoor areas of the home, especially the hot tub and the outdoor dining area. Property is just a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants.

Great place on the lake!

Came up to visit friends and this place was perfect. Had everything we needed to cook and relax. It rained and was cold the entire time but the covered deck still allowed us to grill. Definitely would stay here again.

Girls Birthday Getaway

We loved the making waves lodge. We were looking for a relaxing getaway with a beautiful view and that is what we got. We loved having the hot tub and the fire pit which was amazing on a chilly night. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. It had everything that we could ask for. We reached out to the management company for early check in and was helped right away. Would highly recommend.

Can’t wait to go back

We rent a lake house for a week every summer and have yet to stay at a property more than once, until now. We had such an amazing time at Makin Waves Lodge that we have already decided it’s where will stay again next year. Andrew, the host, was wonderful and even accommodated our last minute desire to stay an extra night. Communication was 5 stars. The property itself was exactly as listed, which is rare in my experience. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, and there were so many little extras at the house that speak to the thoughtfulness of the host. The towels, dishes, cooking utensils, etc were all in great condition and made making meals easy & enjoyable. The house is 5 stars. The outdoor areas from the huge deck right off the kitchen, to the hot tub, fire pit, covered seating area, and the dock were all amazing. All the areas were clean and well kept. You can tell the owner takes care of everything and wants guests to be able to just relax and enjoy the lake. The swim dock was where we spent most of our days. Everything was meticulously maintained , and the mini fridge was a great touch due to all the stairs. The jumping platform was a lot of fun. We stayed Monday to Saturday and the water was wonderful for swimming and floating. I research a place to stay every year and appreciate honest, thorough reviews. I could go on and on about this property

Perfect Lake House Vacation!

The property is just as described and pictured and was able to accommodate 6 adults very comfortably. We spent a lot of time in the lake and used the hot tub every night. A short drive to some nice restaurants and shopping. We even rented a pontoon and went bar hopping one day. We all agreed that we would stay here again! Thank you, Andrew, for sharing your lake house with us!

Happy Family

The place was very nice. Everyone in my family had a place to go to unwind and relax. We spent a lot of time on the dock where the water was calm and out of the way from boat traffic. The deck on the house has an amazing view of the lake and made a nice place to enjoy some good food that we cooked on the grill. We definitely would like to come back again!

Fun getaway!

House was clean and the dock was very nice! We have stayed at several places in the Ozarks over the years and this had the best parking by far! The only things I wish to change was the number of stairs and the amount of boat traffic which caused it to be quite wavy even during the week. We loved the outdoor areas especially since we were able to watch TV under the cover deck while grilling out! Very quiet, private house for a group of moms wanting a break!

Nice house on the lake

The "kids" (ages 22-29) had a great time swimming off the dock. Of course, one of the first things they noticed was the tiki bar next door. By the next day, Captain Ron invited us over for drinks. How fun! We spent a lot of time on the covered back porch. The fans keep it a really comfortable outdoor space. The grill was very dirty when we arrived and my nephew had to spend some time cleaning it. Not a big deal. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. My only one small suggestion might be a broom. The house was very clean when we arrived and I like to leave places as close to the way they were when we arrived. Plenty of towels and blankets provided. We did not use the hot tub. If we return to the area, we would definitely stay here again. Owner was very responsive to questions and check in process was simple.
