Welcome to The Snowy Crab, our 4-bedroom, 3-bath private beach retreat and sunny escape from snowy Colorado. Just steps from the beach, this home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests and offers the perfect setting to enjoy all that Edisto Island has to offer.

Tucked away on a quiet dead-end road, the home backs up to a scenic tidal creek with lush, natural views. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake to birdsong — it truly feels like your own private coastal oasis.

The spacious ground level is designed for relaxation and fun. A large screened-in game area invites you to enjoy the outdoor breeze while playing ping pong, cornhole, or ladder golf. Two hammocks provide the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach.

Inside, the layout is ideal for families or multiple groups traveling together. Two bedrooms are located on each side of the home for added privacy. Two bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms, while the remaining two share a hallway bath. An outdoor shower beneath the home makes rinsing off after the beach easy and convenient.

We provide all bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels for your stay. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are stocked in each shower. The laundry room is available for guest use, with detergent and fabric softener provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who enjoy cooking at home.

Recently updated and thoughtfully prepared for guests, The Snowy Crab is a welcoming and comfortable escape at the beach.

The house was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Perfect for our group of 2 couples and 2 singles. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes with plenty of room.Our favorite part of the house was the spacious front porch with a swing and multiple rocking chairs. Even on a windy and rainy weekend, we could enjoy sitting together and talking without getting wet. One of our family traditions for these get-togethers is "coffee on the porch" and this porch was perfect for that. A comfortable spot for good conversations and good memories.We also enjoyed meals and games around the dining table, and watching college football in the living room. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked -- shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers were so convenient.

Everything was better than expected. The property is in a good location to beach access. The house was clean and well appointed with furniture, linen, and towels. It was very comfortable for the size of our party and had what we needed. I would definitely book this property again for another stay.

Everything perfect! The only addition we would suggest is full length mirrors on the back of bedroom doors - or any mirrors to facilitate making up. We were 5 women sharing 3 baths. But a piffle inconvenience

Great house. Nice quiet street. Very close to beach. Close to area dining and shops. Had several deer and racoons stop by to check us out. House was nice and roomy for our large group and everyone had a great time. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Getaway!

Great spot! Close to the beach with just a quick walk. If you have lots to take to the beach bring a wagon. House was great and just what we needed. Host has great communication skills and was helpful even before we got there.

The best week at the Snowy Crab

We could not have booked a better house for our week. Our son got married on Edisto Island and this house became command central. The hosts have thought of everything. Even things I didn’t know I needed they thought of. They provided all linens and towels which not all properties do but the snowy crab makes you feel right at home. The hosts are VERY easy to communicate with I highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed!!!

Perfect House!

We were a group of 5 friends. The large living space and kitchen was great! We also loved the 4 large bedrooms and 3 baths. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the peace and quiet- even had a visit from a deer. Enjoyed the short walk to the beach and rocking on the front porch. Check in was easy and host was responsive. Can’t wait to stay here again soon!

Special family time

We were in Edisto to celebrate the wedding of our daughter. We arrived from the upstate of SC and our son and his family traveled from Asheville, NC immediately after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The owner went above and beyond to communicate the status of outages to us, and even allowed my brother's family to stay a few extra hours so that they could enjoy the beach and not have to hurry back home to the havoc that was taking place. I would give it 6 stars if that was an option!

Wonderful vacation

This home was the perfect spot for a family getaway. The location is great and is only a short walk to the beach. The home had everything that needed including games, books, and all necessary kitchen items. The host was wonderful and so easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the Snowy Crab. Games for the kids, beautiful property and had all the things we needed. I used to own a cleaning company and would give it a white glove review. And the communication was amazing. We will be back!!!

Great Place for Old Friends to Connect

As a long time group of friends we had a special event to attend in Charleston and decided to stay in Edisto Beach. We found this house and we all loved the it. The openness of the kitchen, living room and dining area was perfect for us. The house was clean, well supplied and presented no unexpected surprises(sometimes what you see online is not what you get). Short walk to the beach and a nice community for our morning bike rides. We hope to return again for a longer stay.

Big Open Space for lots of People

Large blended family stayed altogether. The only hiccough was the description on the web mentioned the keys in a lock box, but instead the combination worked on the key pad. The owner/ manager was easy to get in touch with to make it all very easy. It was a dream for a family of 10 of all ages.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

This property exceeded expectations! I’ve stayed at quite a few rental properties and this one was the cleanliest I’ve experienced. The home itself is so open and spacious. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit and chat. The four bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms were also so great to have. Everyone felt like they had their own space. The washer and dryer and fully stocked kitchen made our stay so convenient and relaxing. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes and the beach itself was relaxing and enjoyable. The property owner, Jim, was very responsive! Definitely recommend this property to other families!

Great home, wonderful location with easy access to the beach. This house accommodated my family of two young adults (college students), a high schooler with his three friends, my husband and I comfortably. The ground level entertainment was great for the boys with more than enough room for our fishing gear.
