The Space:

Experience the laid-back island lifestyle at this elegant estate brand-new home just one block from beach access! The crown jewel, a sprawling screened porch overlooking the majestic palms, promises ultimate relaxation with three beautifully appointed seating areas. Fire up the Weber gas grill and share special alfresco meals at the outdoor dining table, then kick back and watch TV or play a fun game of checkers. Enjoy more private outdoor space on the front porch swing or while lounging by the pool - both are perfect spaces for sipping sweet tea or your beverage of choice.



A masterpiece of style and design, the open interior showcases vaulted ceilings, hardwood flooring, and comfortable, coastal chic furniture, as well as an in-home elevator for added convenience. A center island with seating anchors the well-equipped kitchen - complete with quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances, while an ornate chandelier illuminates the adjacent dining nook. The kitchen sink even boasts a reverse osmosis water filtration system, meaning fresh water is always available to you. You’ll find more space to serve home-cooked meals in the gorgeous dining room. There’s also a living area with a TV on both floors (there is a 70” TV in the main floor living room), providing ample space for families or large groups to spread out.



The first-floor main bedroom features a sprawling en suite, complete with a double vanity, soaking tub, and stunning walk-in shower. There is also a 50” TV, Peloton bike, an expansive walk-in closet, large enough to fit an air mattress, Pack 'N Play, or crib. The main bedroom also has an adjacent covered patio seating area.



Upstairs, you’ll find a second main bedroom with a private en suite (shower/tub), the bunk room, and another bedroom with two double beds. A washer/dryer and central air conditioning provide a layer of comfort during your stay.

We enjoyed staying at the Salty Monkey. It is great for young children ( we have 6 grandsseven years and under). While the layout of the house is great, the house could use some freshing up I.e. furniture covers, paint, etc.

Edisto trip

This house was adorable and exactly as listed. There was a great kids area upstairs and it was just a short walk to the beach! The pool was fun for the kids although a little chilly this early in the season for me! We had a great visit!

Perfect Getaway

The home was the perfect place for our family to come together and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The island was beautiful and relaxing. The food was amazing. The fishing with Edisto Watersports and Tackle was top notch. We had a wonderful time and plan on visiting again next year!

Monkeying around

The Salty Monkey is a great place to stay with family. Great location, we rode our bikes to the beach, Whaley's and the bike path. The boys loved playing in the pool. Very clean and spacious. We didn't want to leave and would love to come back!!

Stunning lowcountry retreat!

The Salty Monkey is the perfect place for a relaxing, comfortable weekend in the lowcountry. The owners have done a fantastic job making sure that the house has everything you need to unplug and enjoy your stay. The master bath felt like a serene spa retreat after we spent the day exploring the island and we can't wait to rebook here the next time we want to get our Edisto Island fix!

This house is absolutely stunning! It is beautifully decorated, spacious, perfect for entertaining, and an easy walk to the beach! Everyone on the trip raves about how gorgeous the house was! We had a great time sitting at the dining table playing cards, lounging on the porch, and hanging by the pool!

Great rental house

The house was clean and has a well stocked kitchen. The pool was popular with our grandkids. Check the gas grill to make sure you have a propane tank upon arrival as we discovered there was no propane tank when we planned to grill one night. Deborah at Vacasa was very helpful with answering our questions and so pleasant in welcoming us to Edisto Beach!

The house is new and everything is beautiful and clean. It is an easy walk to the beach from this house, but if you have little ones, you might want a wagon. Edisto has parking by the beach so you could also drive.

Beautiful Home!

The rental process was flawless! Detailed check-in information was given before my arrival. Retrieval of the key was an equally flawless process. The house is essentially brand-new. Very clean, well stocked, plenty of space. Would definitely recommend!
