Room was small bathroom spelt like sewage. TV didnt work. The noise aswell was just ridiculous awake from 5.30am. Shame as we have stayed before and it was great.
Fantastic comfy bed and quiet, but needs attention
We were in Cardiff for the under 17's basketball tournament to watch my god son from Ireland play. We didn't arrive to the hotel until 11pm. This caused issues as the postcode provided did not take us to the hotel. I ended up asking a local from a local takeaway if they knew where the hotel was. They not only helped but they got into their car and asked me to follow him. He took me straight to the hotel and checked i was OK. There was no parking onsite available as all spaces were taken, but there is a large carpark a short walk away. The night staff was fantastic as helped all she could. Breakfast was fantastic and we were dealt with quickly by the two members of staff on shift. I only made one criticism about the room as it had a shower over the bath but no rubber bath mat and i nearly slipped over in the shower. The only other issues i saw is the hotel is clearly either on its way to being renovated or is in very much largely decayed as there was packages and pallets outside and inside. Not blocking any walkways, but was not nice to see being layed around.
The staff were lovely and friendly. What let the whole thing down was that the dining room didn't have any food and our room stank of drains and dirty water. It was so bad we went home a day early as it was making me sick
Walking distance to a secure car park, although i have to pay for it since it's in town centre. Carpet needs a bit freshening up, but clean bathroom. Shops, bars and restaurants accessible. Breakfast starts at 7 but the staffs let me have milk for my cereals and offered me toast earlier since i have to leave at 7. Definitely, i will book the hotel again in the future.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean. Parking limited and workmen in large vans parking across other bays including disabled made it difficult to access although not hotels fault. Room comfortable. Beds and pillows so comfy and clean. Bathroom immaculate, clean and lovely powerful adjustable rainfall shower and separate shower wand with adjustable temp, really great! Didnât eat as had early starts for our hops but looked and smelt nice! They cook Sunday roast!! Yum! Hotel is unusually situated in the middle of a very old terraced style council looking housing estate with narrow roads to access which would have put me off booking if I had known. Very quiet though and no trouble that I could see.
Staff really couldnât do enough for us so thank you for all your help and support to make our stay really pleasant x
Pretty basic experience - shower not working, luke warm at best, feedback was that when everyone uses it thatâs what happen. Not true really as we were not using it at peak time. This should not make a difference and Not the best from a customer point of view when you have come back from a trek soaking wet and the shower is awful.
Our room was changed by the hotel shortly after arrival. On arrival we were told that our room rate did not include breakfast. Fortunately we had PRINTED our booking, which confirmed we were entitled to this. In the room that we were moved to one of the bulbs in the main light fitting buzzed loudly and flickered. The wall lights above the bed did not work and the table lamp had a loose wire in the flex, which meant that it only connected if it was moved to a 'good' position! We reported the problems to the reception staff but they were not resolved. They did offer to change our room but, given that we had been moved once already, we decided not to. We will not be returning!
hotel is located in a residential area a short walk from the town centre and a great location for the visiting the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains for day trips
A freshly cooked breakfast was cooked to order each morning served by friendly staff
